What about the Rami ???
« Reply #15 on: August 19, 2016, 08:00:08 PM »
Just acquired my second RAMI BD and I am not selling this one like I had to do with my first one a while back. Thanks Independent George!!!

Love my compact size handguns, specifically my CZ 100 and P-07, but there are times I would like to have a smaller double stack, and no matter how hard I have tried over the last several years, I just cannot warm up to any other subcompact offered by other manufacturers. And trust me, I have pretty much tried them all. None of them give me that "just right" feel in my hand like the RAMI when I need something smaller.

Now, if Stuart and the gang at CZ Custom can convert my RAMI to a 6.5# DAO like they did my P-07 Duty..... [emoji57]

I think you will get there, CGW got mine in at 7.5 lbs and could have gone lighter but I prefer the 13lb hammer spring for reliability. I'm coming in around 3 lb 10 ounce on single. Granted these numbers where before I fired 3500+ rounds and 2-3k dry fires.

They didn't have any problem getting my P-07 DA  conversion down to 6.5#, using a 13# mainspring and polishing the internals. They also installed an extended firing pin and extended trigger sear spring. Much smoother than my old Sig P250, or any other DA pull on any of my carry handguns.

I love my Rami! Had David @ CGW do his magic. Plus had a great edc finish that should hold up longer then I will.

I bought mine untested.  I fired a P-01 but not the Rami and, violating my own criteria for choosing a gun, bought the Rami without a test fire.  But I love it!

So now if you were going to keep only one of them?

I don't have the P-01; that was a borrow to try thing.  If I had to choose, I would go with the Rami because they feel the same to me and the Rami is smaller.

They are close in size but I shoot the PCR much better. PCR is very close to P-01.

It is surprising how good the rami feels for a subcompact. Very controllable for me, I had a G26 that was not near as nice.

Jpknj,

What finish is that on your RAMI and who did it?  Looks nice.

It looks like the factory Silver Polycoat. I was very close to buying one, but it sold before I did.

I think it was a NP3 finish from CGW who had bunker arms do most their finish work.

Hard to tell by the photo but the handful of factory silver polycoat that were available through just one LGS in Illinois a couple years ago looked a bit lighter in color? What might be "special" about the RAMI besides the size is that the frame profile is close to the Colt Z40/ CZ40 variants.

I had David send it to Robar for NP3 Plus. Was the first time David used NP3. Starting to see more and more he is doing with that finish. Makes cleaning so easy.
