Could you do that for a solid front sight as well? It does not have to be f/o, I assume.

He is just cutting the dovetail and securing the bushing, you can pick any sight you want. The type of sight you choose must be able to fit a 1911 dovetail, other than that it can be any size blade, thickness or type.

The dovetail cut, tapping, and screw method is simple, we estimate $80.00 for everything combined, plus the cost of the front sight and a small fee for final fitting ($15.00 - $20.00).  No refinishing included, but we do re-blue the freshly machined area.

I have a slide I'll gladly send your way for that. I already removed the staked front sight. I need to find a front sight that works with my lpa rear and I'll get in touch for sure.

Is there a way to transform this type of front sight to pinned front sight?
