Mag loader
« on: August 31, 2016, 12:02:14 PM »
I have no association with this product or its maker.

If, like me, you have trouble loading Scorpion mags due to arthritis or for any other reason, you might want to take a look at this loader.  I definitely wouldn't call it a speed loader but once you figure out how to use it (it's a little tricky) and after a little practice, it really works well.  The first couple of times I sprayed five rounds of ammo all over the room but now I can easily load a mag without dropping a round.  At $25 i figured it was worth a try and I'm glad I did.  Yeti Works also offers one but theirs appears to require a table top or a ledge to use while this one doesn't require anything.
Just though I'd pass it on.

Wonder if Lula wants to get into the Scorpion market.   Their StripeLula works great.

They make a single round version too: https://www.amazon.com/RAE-708-Scorpion-Magazine-Loader-Magazines/dp/B016YZ92XU/

That's more appealing to me actually...

I saw the single version one also which is very similar to the UpLula one that I use for my pistols.  I thought it would be faster using the five round at a time version and now that I've become used to it, it definitely is.  I also liked the fact that I didn't need a hard surface to use it.  I think the demo video of it shows it being used sitting in a table but I just place the mag base against my chest, line it up and give the plunger a hard push.  It's really become quite fast to load a mag now since my OP.

I have the AR and AK loader that I purchased from ACEM when they first started and they work great for loading up mags. I order the Scorpion loader about 2 minutes after clicking the link. Worth every penny.

I don't find the strip loaders much faster than the single round loaders, especially if talking the Lula.  With curved mags I can see them helping though vs the pressdown type like the glock loaders...

Now if someone were to bundle stripper clips with a 9mm stripper clip loader (can use 5.56 clips to hold 9 - 9mm rounds or the 7.62x25 tok clips hold 8 - 9mm rounds), that'd be pretty awesome.  Especially with these evo polymer mags and cracking when loaded, something super fast to load like a stripper clip loader or even that plate loader with a stripper clip function would be awesome...

I'm ordering one of the Plate Design one of these!  Thank you for the link.  I have the RAE loader and while it worked OK it was never really easy and satisfying to use.

Thanks for bringing this product to my attention. I ordered it and it's really helped relieve the thumb ache associated with the 30rd mags. It works just like a glock loader, so if you like those, you'll like this one. It's 3D printed, but seems durable. My father in law is older but likes to shoot my CZ and it helps him out a lot.
