Bummer. That's one sweet looking piece. The modern ergonomic updates really look comfortable.

The CM9 gen 1 is branded the K2P in the states, I would assume the gen 2 will be branded the same. I bought one in January and it's such a great gun.

Yeah, I'll be on the lookout for a K2P Gen-2.

Reasonable Speculation

Could also be a case of where Military Contracts come first and Commercial Civilian Sales come later, after the existing supply of the CM9 Gen 1's get sold off.

It's probably going to be awhile, so don't hold your breath on it.  Just keep a watchful eye out.  ;)

Both Sarsilmaz and Canik have made good names for themselves in the USA market and I'm sure they want to keep the proverbial ball rolling!  :)

Classic Firearms and Grabagun have them.

Who's going to get one first?

Sweet!  8)  Right now my budget says "No", but I'm still thinking about it.  ;)
Interesting that these are coming in via TR Imports and not EAA.  https://www.trimports.com/product-category/handguns/

Neither the Gen 1 or the Gen 2 grips look very "grippy".  The grips on the Witness Poly Compact didn't either, but I think they are quite grippy so I could be wrong.  Looks nice, but I just have no actual need for a poly full size gun.  Not sure why there aren't more guns like the XD-45 Compact where there is a 4" (or 3" on the sub-compact) barrel and shortened grip that can be extended with a mag sleeve.  I like the concept so much I bought one... :)

My "solution" to that came in the form of a full size Hogue Handall grip sleeve.  I liked it so much, I did it to my SAR B6P as well.
A side note is that most of my metal framed Cz Clones wear the Hogue Cz75 Wrap around Finger Groove Grips.

EAA imported SAR B6P and K2P 9mm Pistols

Chances are, were I to acquire an SAR CM9 Gen 2, I would probably do the same thing, yet again.  At least I'm consistent.  :)

I must say, those are some really good prices.  8)  I'm not smitten with the Gen 2, but I kinda wish I could get one early on if
the first imports are coming in marked as CM9s, with later production coming in as K2Ps. Then again, maybe they're phasing out
the K2P name...

I'd heat stipple the bedickens out of it.

Gonna have to agree, that fingerprint pattern kinda weirds me out.  :o

I have no idea how they feel, but I like the looks of the grips.  In fact, I think the pistol looks more modern overall.

Indeed. They really seem to have tried to modernize the design. Including backstraps.
