Here's mine.  It has the serial number on the frame, on top of the slide and on the barrel.

I like the feel of it so far, but I've never felt the previous version and I have yet to shoot this pistol.

Yesterday when I was lubing my new CM9, I did notice that the pistol overall seemed tight.  The manual safety is very hard to manipulate.  I was wondering if the tightness might lead to reliability problems.

Today I took it to an indoor range and shot 50rds of Winchester 124gr FMJ NATO, 50rds of Remington 115gr FMJ nickel cased, and 50rds of Geco 124gr FMJ.  The pistol functioned 100%.  Spent case ejection was kind of weak, but they all cleared out of the pistol.  Toward the end of the session, the slide did hesitate going forward a couple of times, but it did return fully to battery every single time.  It appears to me that this was due to residue on the feed ramp.  It's kind of surprising that there would even be residue on the feed ramp as the barrel appears to be entirely chrome plated.  For me the pistol tended to shoot low and left.  If I really concentrated, it wouldn't do this as much.  I was shooting at 15 feet at saucer sized targets on paper.  Accuracy was pretty good, certainly better than I expected.  I'm planning on changing out the back strap to the largest size and adjusting the slide a bit.  The tools to accomplish both these tasks came with the pistol.

Overall I really like the CM9 and think it's a great value for what I paid.  I'd definitely recommend it.  Now to find a couple of more magazines.

Sounds like it just needs breaking in. I always run 100 rds of 115, 100 rds of 147, in that order and then stick with 124 after that. By 500 rds it should feel like a different pistol.

It feels good already.  So long as it's reliable, I'd rather have a pistol that's tight and ejects a little weakly than loose and tossing spent cases to the moon.

They are back in stock at classicarms.com

Also, I found this site, looks like a new importer of some SAR products; including the CM9 Gen 2

What people don't realize is that Sarsilmaz has a sprawling state-of-the-art facility in Turkey that is relatively new. Their firearms are built from parts with exact specifications and tolerances, that's why the safety seems difficult to operate. The quickest way to smooth it out is to lay the pistol in your lap the next time you sit down to watch your favorite TV show, and mindlessly operate the safety while watching. That's the method I used on my B6P and B6P compact, probably 1,000 cycles on each one, and the difference in ease of operation is like night and day by the time you're done.

Similar method to smooth out the trigger before even going to the range: Cock the hammer with trigger hand, offhand thumb setting over firing pin, pull trigger letting hammer fall on thumb. Lather, rinse, repeat at least 500 times, not really hard to do that many times if you're on autopilot while absorbed in a TV show or movie.

RabbleRouser, that is how I broke in my B6P. By the time I got to the range with it, it shot like an old friend. The only thing I question on the CM9 is the more aggressive backstrap to beavertail junction. It looks a lot more angular, and might be uncomfortable for smaller hands. To me, the new design's look is very reminiscent of a Smith, much more than a CZ. I notice, too, the cheesy US map trademark is changed also. I wonder... Did they de-horn the trigger for the CM9? My B6P trigger has very sharp edges. It can be a little chafing in a long range session. That is my only complaint with my B6P. It is my favorite range gun.

TR Imports is selling magazines for this pistol.
http://www.trimports.com/product/magazine-cm9-gen2/
I ordered three and they arrived today.

I accidentally screwed up my ordered and bought seven magazines instead of three.  I sent them an email and Austin straightened it out.  A+ for customer service and packaging.  The box was small, but they actually wrapped each magazine in bubble wrap for protection.

My curiosity's gotten the best of me, did you wind up with 7 for the price of 3 today,  or had they split the order and sent 3 with the other 4 to follow?
