I just bought the HBI carbine length handguard. I like it, except my iron sights don't line up any more. I use a red dot, so I'm not that concerned. A cautionary note: Although most suppressors will fit inside the handguard for an SBR configuration, any MLOK attachments must be placed to the rear of the suppressor, as the MLOK nuts will interfere with the suppressor. That does not apply to items mounted to the bottom slots, just those on the sides. So Tac Lights would need to be mounted to the bottom, and anything like A QD sling mount behind the end of the barrel

What do you by "my iron sights don't line up any more"? They should and if the handguard's rail is off from the CZ's rail, then the sights can be adjusted to compensate for the misaligned rails.

This! You may have to adjust zero on the sights. Can't expect them to be the same zero if there is any variation in the rails compared to your previous setup.

Thread from the dead! Actually super ironic that it got bumped today, we just added a couple new handguard styles to our webstore, 6.84" flat faced handguard and a 11.25" flat faced handguard. We also put up a PDF showing all of the different lengths available now. Could be helpful if you are planning to shroud ABC suppressor with XYZ adapter. Here are a couple pictures of our new handguards and dimensions:

11.25" Flat Face on Faux Suppressor Carbine

6.84" Flat Face on Pistol (SBR)

Very cool HBI!

Anyone know exactly how long the stock CZ pistol and carbine handguards are for comparison?

Do you know if the Griffin Optimus suppressor will fit inside of the hand guard.  Any pictures of the flat hand guard in pistol length with a suppressor. Will you guys be doing a pistol length that is maybe a inch or two longer, so a suppressor looks more flush.

@ the above posts about the sights being off , try mounting something solid on the top rail of your factory picatinny rail that also connects to the hbi's top rail, then you tighten down the 4 HG retainer screws in an x-pattern i.e bottom right-side, top left side etc.etc. "worked for me". But if that fails you might need to adjust the little pins on the hbi barrel clamp that rests atop your cz barrel block, just don't file too much off the bottom of the pins

oem pistol length is ~ 6.75"

oem carbine length is ~ 11.5"
2 things you never want to hear when you pull the trigger:

"click" when you expect it to go "bang" and

Should(mine does)!  The inner dimensions are all the same on their handgaurds. I have their K handgaurd with an Optimus partly shrouded via a trilug and it fits fine.

This is good advice.  Any scope riser sort of picatinny rail will work.  It doesn't have to be very long.

I did this exact thing to ensure proper alignment.

Thanks coco, is that the full size Optimus, because doesn't it break down to a small can for 9mm.  Does your barrel stick out as much as the stock barrel would on the new pistol hand guard, as I assume you had yours cut, so could be shorter.    You have any other pictures from different angles.  Oh and thanks

I spoke to them about two weeks ago and they said they are making an extended polymer model that should be out before too long.

Could they make some kind of rubber sleeve/band, that would slide on to the part of the charging handle that makes contact, or would that be to thick.
