EDC. Defense of your life (or someone else you feel responsible for).
I choose a CZ (P07 in .40 S&W - because it's just about the most accurate pistol I've ever shot).
I choose an RMR (dual illuminated model as there are no batteries/electrical stuff to go bad). It's always "on" day or night, rain or shine, hot or cold.
I chose a back up sighting system just in case (because back ups can be important - same reason I carry a couple extra magazines and a sharp knife).
Primary Machine did the work in my P09 (did it first as it's not my EDC and I wanted to test out the work/concept before surrendering my P07 to the same thing). Once I shot the P09 I knew I had to get the P07 done, too.
One cool thing about the RMR (and maybe other sights of similar design - but I have no experience with other sights) is that you do not have to have the dot centered in the lens to hit the target. Put the dot on the target and the bullet hits it. Even if the dot is low, high, left or right in the FOV of the lens. I've tried it. Get the dot on the target and squeeze the trigger.
When using iron sights you have to align the front sight with the rear sight and then align the front sight with the target. With the dot sight you only have to align the dot with the target.
I'm sold on it (after years of not seeing the utility of it. I've got a Delta Point Pro sitting near my chair right now. Just not sure what to put it on. The wife's satin nickel CZ 75 Compact is too pretty to cut on. The P01 doesn't have the accuracy of the P07 or P09 (not in my experience so far). My Pre B CZ 85 probably does have the accuracy to suit me but the darn thing is (again) too pretty to cut on. Might have to buy me another P07 (9MM this time).
Good luck with yours. Get it done right and its well worth it.
Oh, forgot the picture. The moisture is sweat. I sweat a lot on a hot muggy day. The P07 goes everywhere with me. From shopping to traveling to working on the yard or on my cars.
