It is far more durable than cold or caustic hot blue. It actually protects the metal underneath instead of just looking pretty. It is not as resilient as Cerakote or some of the bake on finishes but as bluing goes it is probably the toughest.

The little plastic catches on my Cannon camera battery holder have broken. As soon as I figure out a way to fix the camera I will get some updated pictures posted.

Funny coincidence. I picked up a 97B today. I've been wanting one for a long time and finally gave in. It won't last long, but for the moment I feel complete.

For starters, the finish is nicer than any polycoated CZ I've bought so far. The trigger is heavy of course, but very little grit if any. Slide is nice and tight, barrel to bushing has similar play to my P-06. The test target has the tightest group I've seen, not that it means anything concrete. The bushing is more loose than I expected, but intend to send it to CGW for a 1911 bushing anyway. The trigger will be swapped for SAO and FPB delete after I check function/feeding tomorrow. First impression is very good.

That's funny because I ordered a 10x bushing for my satin nickel compact.  I wasn't really thinking about it and got the black one.  I just got it back from the gunsmith and I actually really like the contrast.  Of course, if you're enjoying the look you are on the wrong end of the gun.  ;D
