The ultra low profile sights look good but they shoot about 3" low at 25 yards. I also noticed my group size no matter which load or bullet looked more like a 12 gauge shotgun blast than what I am used to seeing. I went from a .150 tall front sight to a .130 tall sight which fixed the shooting low problem but now I see more slide rib in the rear sight than front sight. That is just not going to work. Also when the slide is in full battery I can take my index finger and push up and down on the muzzle and actually hear a clink, clink. That is surely not going to work. Full sized sights are ordered along with a hard chrome 10X bushing. To be continued.......

That is beautiful!  What hammer is that?  I thought the Pre-B hammers were thinner than the B's.

Thank you. The hammer is the CZ Custom Production Legal hammer purchased from Cajun Gun Works.

Pre-B's generally came with wider hammers than B models. I believe there are some exceptions with pre-b transitionals.

The EZ D9/40 sights and the hard chrome 10X bushing (the blued version was out of stock) came in today. After installing both I am now satisfied this gun will shoot as good as it looks. I went from badly vertical stringing a 4" group to a satisfying 1.5" group dead center at 25 yards. The barrel is so tight in the new bushing it had to be coaxed into the slide but that is exactly how I like it. The OEM bushing fit pretty tight on the sides of the barrel but had an awesome amount of play vertically. The OEM bushing and barrel are not worn, the barrel had no wear marks on it at all. The bushing was just poorly fit and the vertical stringing of the groups proved that out. The full sized EZ D9/40 sights give a wonderful sight picture that is hard to find with any other combination, they are just so easy to see and the sight definition is super HD, I don't know why I even thought about installing anything else. I will call this one done.

Did you use the hard chrome bushing for appearance or because the regular 10x is out of stock? I think the chrome 10x bushing will look nice against the blued slide.
