I also picked up a .40 P-09 for really cheap at a local GS of mine. This just happens to be my first polymer pistol, along with my first full size 40. Needless to say it is a great shooter. It's quite large but it's my HD bedside firearm and for that it's very manageable.
I've put a little over 200 rounds through it at this point and it's been flawless. It's eaten all the Blazer, UMC and Federal FMJs I've put through it; while also feeding/shooting HSTs with no issue. All rounds have been 180gr. I actually enjoy the higher loads, it's a comfortable round to shoot in a gun that absorbs recoil so well.
It's my second go with the Omega trigger, my first being the P-01 Omega 9mm. I really like this trigger system. It's much better and more refined than the trigger on my 75 Compact. It doesn't bite, there's very little grit and I like the shape. For what it's worth, I have the medium backstrap installed on my frame and I like the extra bulk. The small is just too small.
I've ordered an Inforce APL for the rail and hope it will perform as good as it will look.
I'd recommend this firearm for anyone who has a hole in their arsenal. I was never a polymer fan, but I couldn't turn down the price and I have absolutely no regrets. I always clean my firearms but these Duty style pistols definitely break down and clean up a little easier.
Go for it while their so ridiculously cheap!
