Your 88 seems to have the smaller trigger guard of the pre-86 pistols. I like those the best of the round trigger guards.

WOW... these are some nice finishes.  OP, I love that blued PreB!  thanks for all the pics.

OK -- Not a CZ finish, so sorry about that -- but if I came across a beater to restore, I'd very much consider NP3+ from Robar Guns.  Kind of like what I did to my Beretta 96 FS Centurion, but in retrospect, I'd probably like to keep the frame controls all black.  This picture is of their "Norton Special" which is all upper treatment and all frame small pieces and internals (sans springs and pins).

Also shown is 96A1 (also .40 S&W) with MecGar extended 15 round magazine and Stainless 9mm barrel/locking block combo and magazine for more versatility.

Both have "D" Springs.  The Centurion has the Wolfe NP3 "bullet proof" trigger return spring.  Also changed the 96A1 MSH pin to the dog-bone style upon reassembly.

Here's my CZ 75B in .40 S&W that was refinished a number of years ago by Mac's Shootin' Irons in Tucson (I think he's out of business now).

I call it the "Desert Tactical" to complement my CZ 75B in 9 mm Para that CZ called the "Tactical" which was issued with a black slide and dark green frame. I also had a CZ 40P refinished to match the "Desert Tactical".

I guess my favorite would be the gun I did for my Son. I saw a few tears on this one when it was presented so it will always be my favorite.

The two-tone blued/browned looks awesome.

Had this 1985 polished/blued after removing what remained of the enamel finish
