Hi gregshake2,

Yes, the PCR is a soft shooting 9mm, and the DPM helps a little bit more to acquire the 2nd shot.

But what I am after is the theory that the DPM reduces the stress on the frame of the gun, therefore making it's service life last longer. I love my PCR and want to make it last for generations to come.

Thanks to all who put their inputs and gave sound advice.

This is to update regarding the FTE on my PCR:

During the cleaning of my PCR, I've notice a lot of black gunk in the extractor, feed ramp, and barrel when using our LGS reloads (only 10 rounds of LGS reloads). And the gunk is very hard to to remove.
Using factory loads (50 rounds) there are no such dirt to be found and it is quite easy to clean.

Overall my PCR works perfectly with the standard recoil spring and the DPM spring as long as I use a factory load.

Again, I appreciate your responses.

Cheers!
