Cajun Gun Works 75 Compact with new VZ Grips
« on: October 07, 2016, 03:29:29 PM »
Just wanted to show off my CZ75 Compact with its new VZ Grips. This was built by David at CGW for a friend of mine who ended up using a different carry gun (S&W Shield) so he sold it to me. It has the Defensive Carry Package, 1485 T2 Disconnector and Mepro Lite Night Sights. It is my nightstand gun and very enjoyable to shoot!

I put on a set of VZ Black Cherry grips and it feels like it was made for my hand. The trigger is nice and smooth all the way thru the pull. I think I may send it back to them for the bushing install and maybe have the barrel hard chromed for a bit of bling, but really it is a great gun as is.

Another great gun by CGW!

Very nice! I like the looks of the cherry grips.

Thanks guys, it is one of my favorite guns to take to the range. My buddy who sold it to me is also a CZ fanatic and has a few other CGW and CZC guns in his collection. We have a rule that before we sell anything we have to check with each other first!

Sorry, I am still trying to get past selling this to carry a S & W shield!
I will post something nice once I get over the shock.
enjoy.

Haha, he says he already regrets parting with it, but the Shield is half the weight and he carries it in an IWB holster so this was just too big. I have offered to sell it back but he's moved on to another CGW CZ project...

I think it was more the weight versus the size for him. It is definitely bigger and heavier than the Shield.

Oh, I I see you are talking about the steel version. I wonder what he would have thought of the decocker with the aluminum frame?

I'm not sure, I do know that he really likes carrying the Shield and told me that he forgets he's even carrying it because it's so thin and light. I have a P01 on my list so we might be able to do a comparison if I can ever find one.
