Finally shot my P-01 today

Had it for about a week, but couldn't make it to the range.

Also to complicate the situation, my non-gun wife all of a sudden asked to go to the range with me.  what?

Any who she wanted to shot the "smaller" gun even though I told her the bigger one would kick less.  Problem is I didn't want her to shot it first....so I did the first 2 mags myself.

Man.....I shot it great!  I only shot at 10m, but my group (outside of 2 shots) was all in in 3-4 inches.  I mean that piece of the paper was gone!  I loved shooting it.

I'm wondering if I like it more than the SP-01, so I'm asking the group....anyone out there like the p01 more than the sp01?  It seems the sp01 is the "star" of the CZ group.

Thoughts?

Oh also.....the wife liked shooting (she mostly shot the Kadet, but she did do a couple magazines of 9mm)

Be careful having her shoot the P01 w/Kadet. It may end up looking like this[emoji6]


    All joking aside, it's a toss up for me. I mainly leave Her Kadet on "our" P01. I really like my Tactical, but then again my Phantom, err umm the Rami......

Truth told, I'm excited she liked it.

I'm fine with the pink gun.....I'll just get her her own P01 and PINK Cercote it or something.....Mine is my favorite color....OD GREEN.  The pink would clash to much!

Yeahhh, I draw the line at the grips. (because that's all she wanted pink[emoji12])
    My wife was never around firearms till she met me. The Kadet is her first. She wanted pink grips so I bought a set of Houges and cut them down for the compact.
   We do have a lot of fun together, but I'm trying to get her to take a couple classes. A husband can only teach so much.

I like the P01, a lot. But, I prefer the SP01 to the P01.
However; I'm sure my opinion is biased due to time/practice/competing with the SP01.
I require extra concentration (time) to shoot the P01 well.

Heck inside 18-20 yards my P-01 shoots right with my Sp-01 Tact.
 I would use the Sp-01 as a house gun but my wife dearly loves and shoots the devil out of an old Taurus PT-99 so that's what we use as a house gun.
 the P-01 is my carry  anyway.
 love the Sp-01  but the extra  rounds just ain't worth carrying around compared to the P-01  in size and weight.

I have an SP01, a SP01 Shadow, and a P01. My favorite pistol for shooting is my Shadow followed by the SP01. I really like the P01 as it is as accurate as my SP01 out to 25yds, but the light frame causes it to be snappier which aggravates my arthritic hands. A poster on this forum posted he had found a steel frame 9mm with a rail and manual safeties (essentially a steel frame P01 minus the decocker) so I ordered one. Hopefully the heavier frame will tame the snappiness for me. I just hope its as accurate as my P01.
