I've got one in black. Good pistol, but the gun shoots high at any range and I couldn't find any sights to fit in order to correct. No malfunctions whatsoever. Do not care for the funky chamber indicator.

There were a few different rear sights on these.  Some came adjustable and some fixed.  Believe stock CZ sights fit with minimal fitting.  I just wanted mine for a truck gun and it shoots a couple inches high (fixed sight) at 25 yards, but center so I just use a hold.  Eventually I plan to tune it and get better sights, but for now I'm happy.

I have been kicking myself for not getting a near complete set (not really big into chrome on my guns, so skipping that one) and getting the ODG, Tan, and Titanium as well as the black I originally purchased...

Main difference between the Canik and this CZ is that the Canik has the slide release on both sides while the CZ is just on the right per pics.

Yeah, I was hoping for adjustable sights, but mine came with fixed sights. It shot about 2-feet high at 25-yards which is way too high for me even though I like 6 O'clock hold. I tried filing down the rear sight height and got POI down to about sixteen inches at 25-yards. I never knew CZ sights would work - I'll have to research it.

I ordered mine from MrGundealer and picked it up this morning. I am very impressed! It's quite a heavy little gun for it's size and is built like a tank. Fit and finish on mine is impeccable.

So far I have all the parts needed to upgrade it aside from the sights, but it'll likely be a few weeks until I can install everything and shoot it.

 afultz075,

What plans do you have for it? I got a Kit from CGW. I'm also looking at the Dawson Precision sights.

Definitely would be interesting to see if other safeties will fit this thing since the frame is wider in that area vs. normal cz75.  the safeties are extremely thin, but maybe wth thin grips they may seem better

Where's all the pictures? Mine is undergoing upgrades and I'm testing the trigger pull along the way. I'll have a big post with how much each upgrade/polished part makes a difference. In the meantime here's mine with the copper thin aluminum grips from CGW (after one of my part tests).

afultz075,

VZ Grips, CGW Stainless Guide rod, Narrowed Shadow hammer from CZC, CGW sear, CGW Short Reset kit, CGW Type 2 disconnector, stainless mag brake from CZC, 85 Combat Trigger, a fiber optic front and a tactical rear from CZC. I am basically going to make it into a Shadow Line Compact clone, as I missed those when they released a batch of them into the US and this will end up cheaper than trying to track a Shadow Line Compact down on the secondary market.

Actually I'm pretty happy it worked out this way, as this gun has a steel frame, which I prefer, and the Shadow Line Compacts are alloy.

Thanks! Got another day of polishing and testing and then I can finish it off. It's the lighting... Weird direct morning light was all I had.

I've always liked those grips. I considered them for my Shadow but ended up going with VZ's. Are they the same thickness as the checkered aluminum grips from CZC ?

Thanks rhart!

Jim,
Ooh good question. I'll measure them today when I'm back to my house. Supposedly they are the same thickness, but my checkered ones look thinner. I think the reason why is they basically start with the same grip and instead of cutting out spots for grip tape they machine in the checkered texture. So at the ridges of the checkering they are the same width.  But, when looking to the edges of the grips against the frame the checkered grips look thinner because my eyes aren't drawn to the tops of the checkering. I'll add pics on this post and it should make more sense.
