oh dear, that's sad that I got wrong info from CZ themselves lol.

I had hoped they would work since this thread mentioned the P-01 slide stop works in the CZ 75 compact standard (but didn't mention it working the other way around), and the P-01 slide stop you said worked in the this 99021 compact... so please tell me if I'm wrong, so far the only one confirmed to work is the P-01 slide stop?

Correct, the only confirmed slide stop that is compatible with the SP-01 Compact 99021 is the P-01 slide stop. Is there a reason you were wanting the classic Compact slide stop? Most people prefer the P-01 slide stop design, but not everyone so I'm just curious.

nah, just the status of having more than one slide stop work would have been handy for compatibility's sake...Just also wanted to make sure i got the right one when ordering a backup (would prefer NOT to play slide stop roulette when ordering and waste money picking up the wrong one lol)

anywho, just got a reply back from Stuart Wong at CZ custom as I had messaged CZ-USA and CZcustom at the same time.

his exact words were "The PCR will fit the pistol, if you do the P01 slide stop you will want to make sure it doesn't interfer with the operation of the safety."

so it looks like we have two that will fit.

Curse this 52 page thread.  I was trying to hold out for a P10C but saw one of these compacts show up locally and folded to pressure.  No will power and I blame everyone of you.  Now I just have to get one of those rear sights like the P-01 Omega has and some lok grips and a 16 pound hammer spring.  You people are killing my wallet.  😁. Nice find! I didn't realize the PCR had a different slide stop than the P-01. So we know that two slide stops will work:

1- the P-01 slide stop
2- the PCR slide stop

yeah, the P-01 has a bigger purchase on the finger with aggressive serrations. also if you look at them closely you can see that the P-01 slide stop's external portion extends back towards the back of the gun further than the PCR, thus why he wanted to make sure the P-01 slide stop wouldn't interfere with the safety.

Yup, I had to go look at them after you posted this. One of the members tried a P-01 slide stop with his SP-01 Compact and verified it fits so we have confirmation for both.

PS if Stuart ever reads this, thanks for all your help!!

In concerns about quantity available of these, thought it might be good to look at serial # ranges.

I purchased two start of last November from Tombstone Tactical.

Lower # is C0735xx.  xx are last two numeric digits.
Higher # is C0767xx.  xx are last two numeric digits.

If others want to share higher/lower than these it might help to identify actual quantity produced and/or available.  But if these are overruns, etc, not all of the ranges we see on serials may in fact be stateside...  Regardless, would be good info nonetheless.

It appears to me that the supposed supply of 500 of the CZ steel frame SP-01 is drying up fast. Several of the online gun shops I check daily are out of them.

just picked mine up, and had to give it a thorough bath and brushing. now lubricated and back together.

i read somewhere that dry firing is not advised, can anyone confirm this for me?

may try to read through these forums tonight to see what cheap/first part changes i should do, i bookmarked Scarlett Pistol's trigger pull post. CZ Custom is not far from me

Welcome to the forum. For dry firing use a snap cap or #83 O-ring.
When the knock on the door said “Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms,” naturally I thought it was a delivery…

I would say high volume dry fire with the factory Firing Pin Retaining Pin is not advised. Where the actual line between low and high volume dry fire is? Who knows.

There are a few options to allow dry fire with reduced or eliminated risk. CGW offers a improved design FPRP. As mentioned above you can also palace an O-ring behind the FP during high volume dry fire. I choose to use both options personally.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)
