I'm extremely jealous Scarlett. I'm tempted to send mine in to CZ custom or CGW, but I think I'm going to keep at least one of mine stock for the time being so that I can get used to them as a brand. See what they're capable of first. However, there's still that little part of me that thinks that turning one of them into a 1911 killer is not a bad idea.
I have pictures explaining it that I'll post in another thread. Basically I installed a CGW Race Hammer and got a lot of heavy creep in my SA. Scott helped me trouble shoot a few times I never could get it resolved all the way. He had me send it in to see if it was the hammer or my pistol. Basically there were some tolerance stacking issues that allowed a little wiggle in the sear cage. This can happen and there's an easy mod that I've found after the fact. See the link here...
http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=85892.0 Anyways, Scott just helped get things squared away after figuring out what it was. He knew what I wanted this pistol to be so he did a little extra work on the hammer so it's pull is about 2 lbs. The break is unbelievably crisp and immediate. Reset is incredible.
I did do the mod in the link above. Super easy and cheap whole producing fantastic results! All my CZ's will eventually get it. I would highly recommend it!
Another side note that I have learned. Properly adjusting the trigger bar spring can play a very big role in trigger pull weight and reset. I am pretty sure I cover it in one of my videos. Anyone doing polishing is likely taking theirs out and when you do, just follow those pointers when you re-install it and the trigger group.
Anyway, big thanks to Scott and David. They run a top notch shop. We're lucky to have two shops of such high caliber for this brand. I'll snag a video once the bushing and sight are done showing the SA on my 1911 killer. Wish I had a ransom rest or Joe L around my local area to test the accuracy once I'm done.
EDIT: I was on lunch break while working from home. So I started the bushing and front site swap/videos and started the mod for loose sear cages. Wife and kids came home so I had to stop before the loose sear cage mod was done. I'll have an update later tonight.
what did you have done to this one exactly? and how much did it run you?
Since we weren't sure if it was my pistol or the hammer I paid shipping each way and Scott said he would clean it up for me even though it wasn't the hammer. Big thanks to him for helping, you just can't beat that service. For costs outside the shipping and had I just done everything on my own, which easily should have.

Keep in mind I did this for the gentleman who is my FFL for transfers (out of his home). I used the CZC Competition hammer, a 15 lb main spring and did NOT get an extended firing pin. Parts for that project were $156. From my experience the CZ Competition Hammer has a lighter SA pull, but the Race Hammer has a crisper break. CGW can work the hammer hooks an bring down the pull weight, and Scott told me how. But, if you don't want to do that the Competition hammer will get that really low SA pull out of the box. Here's a pic or two of the one I did for my FFL with the avg pull weights.

Oh and he had me put on a fiber optic front sight, but that isn't necessarily part of a SAO upgrade...
