I purchased a new P-07 a couple of months ago. Since then I've noticed a lot of side to side play in the hammer. My 2014 P-09 had no noticeable hammer play and my 2006 SP-01 definitely has no hammer play.
I contacted CZ USA and they basically said that the only way that this would cause a malfunction is if the hammer was dragging on the slide.
This is the email I received;
There has been no indication through extensive testing that the movement will ever increase beyond its starting point while all original parts stay in place, but should a malfunction occur we will be more than happy to bring in your firearm and repair it. As mentioned before though, this hammer movement is fairly common and many thousands of P-07/P-09s in public hands will exhibit it. We have so far had 1 in all of those firearms where the hammer needed to be adjusted because it was rubbing the slide finish, and even in that particular case the firearm had no functional malfunctions. I am more than happy to bring in the firearm should you still like us to do so.
Thank you,

I sent my P-07 into them, knowing that some of the forum member had sent their P-07s into them and had them repaired.
They inspected mine and set it back to me without making any changes.
This bothers me a lot more than it probably should, but it looks like CZ's quality control may be declining. I would like to have your opinions if you think I'm being too critical.

I have .033" of side to side play with the hammer down and .045" of side to side play at the end of the hammer when it's cocked. I tried to include more pictures, but photobucket isn't wanting to work with me tonight.
