CZ75 mags work from what I've read and had people tell me. Everything funtions but the bottom plate won't fit perfectly flush.

I have also read that Sig 226 mags will fit and cycle but the slide will not lock back on empty.

According to CZ's instagram post the new P10 that's coming out will be using the P07/09 mags so hopefully that will spur some production and bring the prices down.

I know 226 and 229 mags work in my 07. Use them all the time. They don't activate the slide stop.  If I recall correctly the 226 mecgar 20 round mags I have did not work in one of my academy cadet's 09. Weren't long enough.

I have a P07, and a buddy let me use his cz75 mags. He had one from mecgar I think that would go in the gun, but wiggled slightly and the force of shooting was enough to drop the mag out. we played with it a little and found out it was just loose enough to fall out if you wiggled it. he had 3 other mags at the time that worked fine.

Would 16-round MecGar CZ75 magazines fit in a P-09? I'm pretty sure the 19-round ones would. Brownells have the 16 rounders on sale for $19.99.

I'm thinking of having these as backup to regular P-09 mags.

I would highly doubt that the 16 rd mag is long enough to lock up in the P 09. I have the CZ 75B Omega and the mags do not interchange with the P 09.

Yes they will but will stick out a bit but the 07 mags are too short to work in the 09's

That's interesting that these mags will work. Are you using the 229-1 9mm mags or the older style that also fit the P228?

CZ-USA stated that P-09 magazines will work in a P-07 and that is it. There is no other compatibility.

It seems that us P series users are just going to have to get used to the current price for additional mags. Thanks for all your searching.

Older style mags. I don't have any of the -1 mags.

P 09 mags fit and function in a m&p they just won't lock back the slide. doesn't work vise versa though. unfortunately I have 15 m&p mags and 2 p 09 mags
