CGW slide lube

I've had a small vial of the slide lube from CGW for a while. My son and I are going to the range tomorrow and I used it on my PCR and my new P01 and I can actually tell a difference in the way the slide moves. Heck, I may even video our trip and post on YouTube if I remember to charge the battery on my camera. Any way, I will do an update on lube providing we get to go tomorrow.

I did. I slimed up my sear cage and firing pin channel with it. I'll post how it goes after a few months of shooting and carrying.

It is some real slick stuff, I'm just waiting to see if it gunks up.

I'm using it on the slides and the internals of all my pistols. Works great and stays where you put it. No complaints.

    I actually called and talked to Scott yesterday about this stuff. I have slowly been trying different lubricants and really wanted to try something with moly and that wasn't outrageously expensive (like the Battleborn Grease I am trying right now - sample packs were cheap). I asked Scott what they do when they need oil rather than grease. He said that he just uses some Mobile 1 and mixes in their moly grease. Gets the benefits with the moly while thinning out the grease. He keeps a the mixture in a bottle with a top that lets him easily get it places like between the frame and trigger bar. 
    Mine should be here this week and I will start trying it out. Test... not really. There is more than enough scientific testing done on the exceptional lubricity properties of molybdenum disulfide (moly). The grease doesn't operate at as low of a temperature as the BattleBorn stuff. At that point though there is the mixing with oil that can drop that low in operating temperature. Or just out right order some moly and mix it into some oil. Most gun oils don't get put through the tests that oils used in cars do, so we don't have all the standardized information for comparison. So, I am starting to understand more and more why some guys on the forum just use Mobile 1.... Anyways, I digress. There's the trick to make work as a grease and oil.

Mixing sounds like a good idea. I'll have to give it a try.
