Thanks to everyone for the response to my question. Several of your suggestions are places I haven't looked before.

Cajun Gun Works may have accidentally bought the last large shipment a few months back.

How did that happen?   ::)

I have spent most of my waking hours for the last month trying to locate a 75B. Already have a 97B. What I learned is that just about every popular CZ handgun, and a good portion of the unpopular ones cannot be found anywhere. I called CZ-USA and was told that it probably will be four to six months before they are commonly available to anyone searching. I guess the CZ line of handguns have been discovered. Looks like our little secret has got out. I would say that if you find one, you probably ought to grab it. I found a CZ 75 on GunBroker last week that had been listed moments before I saw it. In the time that it took me to hit "Buy It Now" someone else bought it.

I did manage to find a Cold War Commemorative 75B at GrabaGun. One of the last two of them that they had. Didn't originally consider it thinking that the red stars and hammer and sickle would bother me. But I really did like the spur hammer and trigger guard. Not wanting to wait four to six months, I bought it. Glad that I did. I could not love the thing more.

Good luck. You will absolutely love the CZ-97B. It is a very special gun in many ways. A real class act.

Thanks for the information. In the last few weeks I've bought an original CZ Compact and the new SP-01 Compact. Now I'm on the hunt for a 97B. I might even sell the original compact to help fund the 97B since I probably wouldn't have bought it to start with if the SP-01 compact had been out at the time. It was something I'd been trying to find for awhile and finally gave up and bought the original compact about two weeks before the SP-01 showed up. I want a 97B but I'm not in a hurry. Hopefully they will be available after the first of the year. Thanks, Jim

Just got an email notification on this today:

http://grabagun.com/cz-usa-97b-45acp-blk-alum-10-1-fib.html

When the knock on the door said “Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms,” naturally I thought it was a delivery…

At the gunshows here in Texas, I have seen several dealers with them on their tables. Some where priced really fair to msrp.
