RAMI slide won't move to the rear
« on: November 13, 2016, 09:58:07 PM »
Hello all, hoping to maybe get some of you techy guys insight on my problem. Bought my RAMI a year ago and have yet to actually use it. Well today I was finally going to take it to the range and break it in. I noticed the gun was pretty dry so I removed the slide to lubricate certain areas. while putting it back together I noticed after installing the slide lock that it wouldn't slide all the way back anymore. Only about 1/4 back.  If I removed it it can slide back but that's it. Then noticed the rolling pin located on the top rear of the slide was missing.  Could this have anything to do with it or am I doing something obviously wrong ?

 Pics please.
Are you making sure to pull the slide back before putting the slide stop in?
Mine doesn't have the hash marks, all I do is put hammer at half cock. Then slide the slide back to the hammer, insert slide stop.
On the roll pin, I think you are talking about the firing pin block pin?
Look closer, it's hollow and you may be looking right thru it.

This is the position were I originally removed the pin and put it back.

This is as far back as it'll go now.

Interesting.

First, there is nothing missing in the slide, that's a *somewhat* hollow roll pin, it looks just like mine.

(Assuming it is empty)
Can you thumb the hammer back?  Does that make a difference on whether or not the slide moves?
Are you inserting the slide stop in when the slide is slightly back and lines on the back of the frame/slide are lined up?

Is your safety set in all the way?  It looks like there is a gap in the picture.
