Looking to buy a P-09?
« on: November 18, 2016, 11:04:53 PM »
I have a few CZs now but am thinking about a P-09, my question is this, is it a larger gun since the magazine capacity is pretty large? I have small hands but my SP-01, 85 Combat and P-01 fit my hands pretty well.
Also, is $410.00 del to my FFL a pretty decent price?

If the SP-01 fits your hand, I don't think you will have any problem. I have small hands and my P-07 and P-09 fit me fine.
Is that price for a used gun? I have not seen new that low. $470 is fairly common new price.

Thanks for the quick reply oldfrank, that is for a new one shipped to MS to one of my local FFL, that's what's got me thinking about getting one, how do you like your P-09?

1- good price, snatch it

2- I have a P09 & it's one of my favorites. While my glove size is large, I find the grip very acceptable and it feels smaller than a standard 75B.

3- The P09 is one of those guns that works for me. I'd rank it over my 75B.

Good luck

Just pulled the trigger, no pun intended.  It's from iammo.com using code BFCZ when checking out

Congrats on the new gun.  I've got P09's in both 9 and .40 and love the things.  You can get extended baseplate mags from Greg Cote to run the P09/9 as a 21+1 or 17+1 for the P09/40.  My nightstand gun is a P09/40 with the 17+1 round mag and a Streamlight TLR-1.  Oh, and CajunGunWorks has some nice goodies for these guns.  If the trigger feels a bit gritty when you get it, don't fret.  That goes away pretty quickly.

Again, congrats on the new gun.  I'm sure you'll love it.

IAmmo seems to have the best prices periodically. You just have to catch them at the right time.

That code is no joke. I wish I didn't have a P09 so I could get this one. I'm almost tempted to just because, but If I get another p-series it should be a P07.

Just in case you want to do something to the P-09 after you get it, here are some videos.

Just in case you want to see what is possible with a P-09 or P-07 or 75B with a CGW bushing, or a 97 at 100-200 yards...

One might conclude I like'em.  But I like most handguns ... except Glocks.

(I paid $400 for a USED P-09 three years ago.  And that was a great deal!)

Why do you not wait a few more days to see what is P-10 hub-bop is all about.  I bet the CZ P-10 is a striker fired handgun!

I got mine for $379 new. My local shop Tanners is still running the deal I believe, should be on GunBroker. Great guys over there.
