Red Dot Sight mount for 527?
« on: December 07, 2016, 10:51:00 AM »
Hello,
I recently picked up a CZ527 in 7.62x39. I also ordered a Primary arms 7.62x39 scope because it was on sale. Once I handled the rifle I realized it's so light and quick to point that it's in need of a Red Dot Sight and not a traditional scope. I think a nice pair would have been the Trijicon Micro Acog but I think the eye relief is too short. Best bet I'm thinking is the Aimpoint H2. What mount are you guys running to mate these two up? I do not want to add an adapter rail as that will add high to the optic. I would love it as low as it can possibly go.

You might ask Aimpoint if the mount for the Tikka T-3 is 16mm.

Something in the back of my brain is telling me it is.
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

I've read online that Tikka rings work well on CZ/Brno rifles.

Might be worth a try. I don't see any other setup that will get you that low.

CZ used to sell a nifty Picatinny rail system that clamped on the exitsing scope mounts...that would probably fix the issue. Had one, used it, then sold it when I went straight irons with it.
