Cajun P-01 Omega...EDC defined...
« on: December 07, 2016, 07:43:46 PM »
Posted this in the compacts section also, but wanted to post here as well.  This thing defines EDC for me.  Outstanding work by David and CGW!

Came in today, I am at a loss for words.  This thing is simply fantastic, don't know how to otherwise describe it.  Pro Grade package installed, setup for EDC, barrel bushing installed, TFX Pro night sights installed.  Already have my IWB kydex ready, so I will head to the range to test out reliability with some 147gr HST's then this thing is immediately going into the rotation for EDC.  Only other thing I may add is a SS guide rod.

David and CGW hit it out of the park with this bad boy...thanks CGW!!!

Very nice.  Did you find a P-01 omega and send it in, or did you purchase the pistol as a package from cgw?

David and his team did likewise magic to my P01 Omega. Am very impressed and pleased. David has superb customer service as well.

As for me- I found one on line this summer and sent it to him.

What's the difference between the Omega model and the regular P-01? Is it a swappable de-cocker/safety feature?

Essentially yes, but also the trigger profile is different, rear sight is different, and hammer is different.  Also, the direction of the decocker is opposite- meaning the the direction of the lever goes from 9 o'clock to about 7 on the omega vs from 3 to 5 or so on the standard P01 (as viewed from the left side of the pistol).

As I have a P09 and the decocker is set about right for my hands, I prefer the P01 omega to the P01.

I know it is subjective, but how does the omega trigger feel after the work is done?

For me- huge difference with SA. DA is much improved as well.

I am a satisfied customer & I'll be back.

Trigger is pretty good out of the box, the after CGW does their magic, it is on another level.  SA is very crisp with minimal reset, around 3# pull or so, DA is butter smooth with no stacking at all now.  Don't think about, just do it, you will be glad that you did!

"World Class" is indeed true. I just got my P-01 Omega back from CGW. A pleasure to do business with, and the results of their work is phenomenal.
Reminiscent of a smoothed up Colt Python that I owned years ago. I hope that my better half doesn't lay claim to it..

I've just made adjustments to my CZ P-01 Omega using CGW parts and definitely would like confirm that changing few pieces bought from CGW made my pistol way better shooter. Not only DA is lighter but SA pull is great and light; I've got shorter reset and easy, smooth slide rack.
Great job CAJUN !!!
