Sorry, missed this.  Yes, it was EAA and they didn't say why.

It is true I e-mailed them and they said no more importing of k2 45

EAA?  Did they say why?

It was suggested in this string that EAA might be going with the .45 version of the SARGUN vs. the SAR K2-45.  None of my distributors carry the SARGUN so it is unfortunate I am unable to get it.

Forum Member Brian Ahearn has both the 9mm and .45 ACP versions of the SARGUN. You can read about them here: http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=83836.msg621040#msg621040

Thanks,

I have seen the gun for sale by other dealers, I just can't get the gun through my distributors.

The SarGun is available from CDNN Sports for the princely sum of $289 in 9mm.  Still loving my K2-45, straight shooter, 0 malfucntions, nearly 1000 rounds downrange without a hiccup.

I bought a SAR K2 in .45 that is two tone.  The frame is black but the slide is stainless.  I put some nice wood grips on it and it's one of the most comfortable shooters I have.  Feels much nicer in my hand than my CZ 97B Copperhead.

Sounds great.  Pics would help  ;)

Do you think/know if a Sargun 9 slide would fit the K2 .45 frame? The lines might look odd, but I think I might be into that... Barrel lengths seem pretty close to compatible... I've got the K2 .45 as well, would love to have a 9 option, especially with the Sargun's sturdy sights... Too good to be true?

Spoke with some nice guys from Utah at the NRA Meeting in Atlanta this morning that are now importing the SAR line.  Apparently EAA is done with SAR.  They had 8 models out for display and I was told that they are receiving inventory from Turkey right now.  They're still gearing up but they are enthusiastic about the line and the UTAS line of tactical shotguns.  Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the materials I got from them were for the lines and not for their company  :-[

What's the company? Did they have any full metal cz clones?

For the life of me I thought I got the company name but all the materials I got are for SAR and UTAS.  I'll look over the map and try to figure it out.  The rep said that they will be importing "the entire SAR line that is approved for US import".  They were giving out the SAR-USA product book (very nice shooters log size/style). I specifically asked about the two-tone K2-45 and the K2-45 Compact and was told yes for each.

Oh, BTW I visited EAA and not a SAR in the place. Very extensive "booth" but the people were not very friendly and there wasn't much to explain the pistols on display.  Underwhelmed would be a polite description of EAA at NRA IMHO.

UTAS-USA is who is importing SAR now and will be operating at SAR-USA.  They have SAR-USA.Com reserved but its parked right now.  They told me that they literally got pistols in the middle of this week to have for the NRA Convention showing.

Awesome. Sar makes the only fully forged (frame, slide, barrel) CZ variants.

I wish Canik would make a CZ clone in 45.
