UTAS-USA is who is importing SAR now and will be operating at SAR-USA.  They have SAR-USA.Com reserved but its parked right now.  They told me that they literally got pistols in the middle of this week to have for the NRA Convention showing.

OK, I'm really confused now. I was under the impression that TR Imports out of Texas was the new importer for SAR Arms.  ???

Regardless, UTAS-USA at least has a Facebook presence (EAA doesn't).

I have the materials here from UTAS-USA and spoke with the guys at their booth yesterday at NRA.  They apologized that they only had 8 pistols to show and were clear that they are receiving shipments currently but that the display models only arrived mid-week.  The main guy I spoke with hadn't fired the K2-45 and asked me lots of questions about why I love mine.  We had a good talk.

If anyone else is going to NRA Atlanta the booth number is 4217 (End of the row on the entrance end, near American Tacticals bigger booth).

I wish Canik would make a CZ clone in 45.

Putting money down this week on a barely shot Witness 45 Compact I found for $400. If its gone that Ruger American in 45 looks doable. I have went to every local dealer to find a good used gun. Almost everything is new sales. Or no CZ or clones at all.

I related what you've posted to a Facebook friend who's at the convention, he said he'll look them up. Hopefully he'll get some good pics.  :)

Update: UTAS-USA & SAR-USA at NRA convention
« Reply #35 on: April 29, 2017, 06:33:15 PM »
OK, I heard from guy who is at the NRA convention. Was waiting for his approval to share a pic of his posting BUT I reckoned that since it's a Public group posting
his text would be no harm-no foul:

"Okay - here is what I found out today at the NRA Convention.

UTAS is now the sole importer for Sarsilmaz & has replaced TR Imports & EAA. Spent some time with Mark Barton who is the Director of Sales & Marketing. They plan to invest lots of money this year promoting the brand. Right now, the only pistols they have are the ones that were already in the pipeline for the US that includes the SAR 9. I have their flyer of the pistols now available. They had all of the polymer guns there on display. If there are other pistols of interest (I have at least 1), here is how to get hold of them:

UTAS-USA

Des Plaines, IL

Thanks.  That fits with what I was told and saw.  Mark was not there when I stopped by so your friend got it from higher up.

I hope they make a big push.  I have the K2 and K2P in 9mm and they are high quality pistols.  With sustained, and good, customer support and advertising...they could go big here in the US.

Very Interesting!  :)  We'll just see how all that works out.

Sarsilmaz has tried to break away from EAA in the past, and flopped at it, so only time will tell.

If I am reading this correctly they are only planning on bringing the polymer guns in?

Why not the Kilinc and K12?

Their full steel offerings are literally the only CZ75 variants that are fully forged (frame, slide, barrel) and for me that is the main selling point.

The fellow I spoke with said they are planning to bring in the whole line.  The slick Catalog that they gave out includes the match guns in it.

This is very good to hear.  Hopefully they keep similar pricing as EAA did.  I mean lets face it, if they up the price on the B6P to over 300 or the K245 back to what it was when it first started coming in (450 and up) then they'll initially only sell the ones that were never available before, such as the competition models and such.

I'm very excited to get one of the competition ones though, can't remember the name of it off the top of my head.  It basically looks like a Witness elite limited but with a 600-700 price, it would sell well I think.

Awesome. Does the catalog show the AR24/AR24K?

Thanks!

From the same guy who was at the convention: "Pistol models immediately available for shipment are: B6, B6C, CM9, SAR9, ST40, ST45, P8L, P8S, 2000, K2-45, K2-45C, K12, K12 Sport, & SR38. If there is one wanted not on the list, let them know."

So yes, looks like there's gonna be some steel guns. Kinda getting a hankering for a K2-45C myself now, the full size wasn't very appealing to me.  ;)

That's nearly exactly what I was told.
