I was totally against the "pistol" versions of guns. always thought they were gimmicky but once you go short you'll never wanna go back :-x. When you get your new scorp pistol in hand and shoulder it, whoops I mean properly use the brace for the first time you'll be glad you went the compact route...

shockwave blade sucks with a 7.62 pap pistol  :-\ but for 9mm it's fine.

I SBR'ed my Scorpion pistol via Form 1.  Now I want to buy the arm brace, and then take it to the range on a busy day and shoulder it to troll for idiots.   ;D

Get both. You only live once  ;D

BTW, brace the pistol against sternum and square up the body to target, I can still see the sight/dot clearly.

Just fyi -- pretty sure that using brace against anything but your arm constitutes shouldering insofar as the BATF is concerned...  Where does the sternum end and the pec begin?  B/c if you're actually shouldering a weapon against your shoulder rather than your meatier pec, you're doing it wrong (the classic shoulder pocket is putting weapon on outside of pec, not on shoulder; newer stances put buttpad more on centerline of pec) -- and 2 pecs join in center at sternum...

Carbine is the way to go if you want to legally and comfortably shoulder the gun

The carbine is what I recommend to my friends.  It's easier to SBR since 922r is taken care of and CZUSA sells pistol length barrels and HBi sells handguards.  You can be in an SBR for $815+$200+$150+$135=$1300 and you'll have an aftermarket mlok handguard.

Cheaper than the pistol and you can shoulder it all ya want.  Also, folded, the carbine is 24.5" and pistol is 16".

Those that knock the 16" 9mm, the 9mm is still gaining speed past 16"

Pretty sure pistol is still cheaper unless I'm missing somthing, and does not require you take the receiver apart

evo pistol $725 + 922r kit $200 + $200 stamp = $1125

IMHO  The Carbine is the way to go, it is already 922r,  and comes with a stock that when folded the weapon still works properly.  Just shorten and thread the barrel enough that your silencer when attached is inside the fore grip or just sticking out small amount.  At least that is my plan, waiting on form-1

OR  you could just start with the new Scorpion EVO 3 S1 pistol with flash can.

Definitely looking like a good route to take. Already have the folding stock, so I'll certainly be looking forward to them hitting the street.
I'd actually like to see the folders adapter more closely match the factory stock tube for an uber clean look, but I'm sure it will sell just fine as is.

I second pistol with tailhook. This way you get the folding stock and none of the SBR or 922r requirements. It's the best of both worlds. If the Scorpion was available in 10mm, I'd say the carbine was really worth thinking of, but for 9mm it's does not offer much benefit for the increased length.

Also, going this route allows you to SBR easily if you ever really just desire to do so.

that does look like a good option.   I was about to order the Shockwave blade until I saw the tailhook thread

I have the shockwave and it's fine, I just like the aesthetic of the factory offering. Also, the shockwave digs into my sternum when braced, which is a little uncomfortable.
