Ok, remanufactured ammo is commercially done to SAAMI standards.
? I believe we have a member who tried the
Freedom Munitions and couldn't get one type of their 147gr to allow his CZ slide to go into battery. The whole box, not 1 or 2 cartridges. So 'manufactured to SAAMI specs' is not always enough. Hope you didn't buy 147's !!
? Several other forum members are very happy with
Atlanta Arms. All their staff are very active in local shooting competitions, and they are shooting the same stuff they sell.
Me, I reload my own. Haven't bought ammo in 15 years. If you are shooting regularly, then you need to sit down and run some numbers. Reloading your own will pay for
all the equipment in 4 to 9 months. If you plan on shooting each month between now and Jan 2018, then there's a high probability that
you're spending too much to shoot junk ammo. It's that simple.
There's a sticky at the top of the
Ammo & Handloading forum you need to read
if this sounds even remotely interesting. And of course, we can answer any questions.
