When will the P-01 Omega be back in stock!
« on: January 07, 2017, 12:09:11 AM »
I've been looking to buy a P-01 Omega for at least six months and they seem never to be in stock. Does anyone with some inside information know what the problem is? Is CZ just not producing them or are they sending them to other countries instead of the U.S.?

Would love to know this as well. I have had mine on order since last April (need the 10-round version) along with a 9mm RAMI. Crickets.

I sent an email to CZ USA asking that question, they responded by saying it is currently the top back ordered pistol. They suggested placing an order with one of their Dealers, they receive shipments about every two weeks, and are trying to get orders filled. They said it will take some time though, (Spring/Summer)

I did the exact same thing and got the same response.
I also asked if they could provide me with distributors/retailers that may have them in stock... they said they could not.

Unfortunately, my only local CZ dealer won't even backorder me one, because their distributor cannot confirm an arrival date.
So, I guess I will just have to keep checking the online scene until I find one.

Just buy the non-Omega P01, It has a better trigger!

This. Or get the omega and be able to swap between safety and decocker. I like the P-09 decocker a bunch and I think I will turn 50 PMAGs into a P07 here pretty soon.
snakeye, no worries, I don't need someone in a leotard. :)

If I wanted a P-01, that's what I would get. However, I don't like the curved trigger (I think it contributes to trigger slap), and the P-01 does not have cocked-and-locked capability. That is exactly why I want the P-01 Omega.

I've also emailed CZ USA and got the same answer that dealers are getting them. The thing I find interesting is that not one single one shows up on Gunbroker, nor am I getting any email notifications from the many places I've signed up for email notification when they are back in stock.

I think CZ USA may be fibbing to us...

P01 with safetys are out there. I have one that CZC did as a Por-Tek II about three years ago.

.

I would have to disagree with you on that comment, both types of triggers can be tuned so that they have a smooth pull, short re-set, and lighter pull weight.

Have you used a tuned Omega trigger?

If it's anything like a P07 trigger it's no where as good as a non Omega

The omega is better for those of us who are left handed because of the rh side controls.

The omega trigger is very good tuned but I don't believe anyone has been able to get the reset as short as with the standard CZ trigger.  And the 2 omegas I've tuned didn't break quite as crisply.

Nevertheless, I'm really digging my p 01 omega with safeties as a carry piece.  It shoots very nicely.

And I put night sights on mine yesterday.  And I'm awaiting my milt sparks VM 2 holster.

Yes, I currently have a CGW Pro kit, In my P-09, I have a CZ Compact 40 and Rami that was worked over by Stuart's team at CZC, and I am also one of the few to have CGW work on my Sphinx SDP. All Four triggers are smooth with no binding, 3 of the double actions break at about 6.5 - 7.0 lbs., and all of their single actions break between 2 - 2.5lbs. The 4th (my P09), I have played around with the Hammer springs for IDPA and it's weights are lighter I am not sure what they are exactly right now, but I can certainly provide them if needed. All of them have the short re-set systems in place.

I guess the point I am trying to make is this, I have 4 examples of the CZ style of triggers, all of them can be worked to replicate each other.

Therefore, I can't agree that one trigger system is better than another.
