« on: January 12, 2017, 12:40:10 AM »
Traded into my first cz. Ive been wanting one for a while.  Had a 75bd picked out but lgs wasnt coming through so found this one used and got it. Im having problems dating it especially since the factory box is gone. Any help would be appreciated. And feels good to be in the club I'm thinking 75 compact now.

Welcome to the forums.

Including images in your posts.

If you have a mobile device, download the Tap a Talk app. You can load pics straight from there.

Note: You can use any image hosting site, i like Imgur.com. Make an account, upload your pictures, copy the BBCode (message boards & forums) provided by the hosting site then paste it into the forum message. Its real easy once you get it.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

It's difficult to make out the second digit in the oval near the ejection port in your photo.

if you can figure out what it is then your pistol was manufactured in 200?.
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

I would say 02.

That type of ring hammer has not been used since the early 2000's, so it's probably not any newer than 03 regardless.

That's pretty neat I've got about 470 in it.  Thought it was a good deal.

That is an EXCELLENT deal for an 85 Combat in the DuoTone finish. You practically stole that thing. Even a standard polycoat 85 Combat would be a great deal at $470.

The 85 Combat with the Duotone finish has been discontinued for about 5 years and is exceptionally hard to find. I have two of them and I think I paid about $100 more than you did for each of them, this was about 2 years ago. I have seen these fetch $600-700 in the few that have been listed on GB over the last year. With the entire CZ 85 lineup discontinued as of the new year, your gun will definitely hold it's value or increase over the years.

The full Satin-Nickel finished 85C's are probably the only 85C variant that's even harder to find and more valuable.

That's cool I was wondering what the bottom was finished with it being little different color stainless.

The frame on your gun is nickel plated carbon steel. The slide is matte-blued finish carbon steel.

And that, in my opinion, is the prettiest dual tone combo out there.

I was trying for a similar look on my Pre B CZ85 but the satin aluminum cerakote is to white/to bright.  The titanium would definitely have looked more like your pistol.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?
