Proof I will be using for my staff to show that not all inmates are murdering thugs and should be treated as people while behind the wire. This guy is a poster boy for what can happen for when people do turn thier lives around, big time. Rehabilitation can be very difficult, but it is a real thing, and in this case, perfectly timed to saved an officers life.

Thanks for the update AZ_CZ.
Sounds like a down to earth guy that straightened his life out.

My guess......the DA there is trying to find a way to charge the civilian, probably well after the celebration....the police may try to save the citizen though, sad thing is, if it was just an average citizen and not a LEO, the poor guy would be on even the LEO radar to be charged with everything and anything they could......reason being citizens are not law enforcement stepping in and helping with a firearm, would not be tolerated/condoned, just saying........am I wrong? please tell me I am.....I would like to be  ???

If that happened in Kalifornia, but Arizona I doubt it

That's the gist of it - AZ has been voted 3 years running as the state with the best firearms freedom in the US. ;)

See guns aren't bad like all the snowflakes make them out to be. They save lives too!

Hadn't seen this posted yet.
An AZ trooper was ambushed and shot. Thanks to this citizen coming to his aid, he is in stable condition, and the perp is deceased.
I hope the trooper pulls thru and makes a full recovery.

Had the motorist not been armed, this probably would have turned out a lot worse. Kudos to the citizen for doing the right thing. I believe that I would do the same if in his place.
The LEA community sincerely appreciates that so many of us law abiding AZ citizens are carrying. Bad guys think twice!

Me too - I'd be more inclined to travel then. :) However, we do have 12 states that have Constitutional Carry now. The tide is turning.
