Remora Holster experiment
« on: February 01, 2017, 01:32:34 PM »
Decided to experiment a little with my Remora holster. It's a #10 model, which fits the P-07 (along with the P-01 and CZ 100), and my particular one has an Artemis Cut, reinforced top, and no sweat guard.

I drilled a small hole near the top front of the holster, and then added one of my spare Blade Tech snap loop retainers I use on my other IWB holsters (from Winthrop). I'm really liking how it turned out! I've never had an issue with a Remora not staying put, but this just gives an extra little measure of keeping it where I want.

I like you idea. But my biggest thing with my remora was how thick it actually is.

Looks like it came out well!

Remora also sells clip-equipped holsters on their website. They have two models: the micro which has an open front and the other model is essentially their standard holster with a clip like the one you made. I strongly prefer them to the standard Remora holsters, even though I have never had one come lose.

I think they look cool. I have a friend that was drawing hi Hi Power out from under his shirt and the hammer caught on the shirt for fraction of a second. But since he was facing a terrorist I am sure it felt like forever. He bobbed the hammer.

The ASP S&W pistol back in the day had a bobbed hammer.

I think they look cool, did I say that.

For the millionth time, because over 27+ years of carrying, real DAO is my preference, having carried that trigger type more than anything else, not to mention growing up shooting DA revolvers.

All but two of my current collection are DAO, but they're still DA/SA and, everything I have gets carried at one point or another. It just depends on my mood. Trust me, if I could convert the last two below to DAO I would!

? CZ 100
? P-07 Duty DAO
? P-09 MHS
? Beretta PX4 D
? Beretta 8000 D
? Sig P250 SC
? *Stoeger 8000 LT
? *Bersa Thunder 380 Plus

This specific Remora is a clip model. Unfortunately, it rides entirely too high for my liking with the clip, henceforth my modification/experiment.

Mine is 8 lb. 6 oz. (as was my first one). I'll measure my .40 model as soon as I get it out of layaway in another couple weeks or so.
