Do new P07s have better triggers from the factory? I think so!

I few weeks back I went and fondled a P07 at the store. The terrible part about it was the stacking trigger in DA and how it wasn't smooth, you could watch the trigger almost studder going back. I noticed this in person and also in many videos I've watched people complain of that. Today I took delivery on a BRAND SPANKING NEW urban grey P07 (Has P10c cut magazines too  )

The trigger has light stacking to it but it is smooth. Something that wasn't present on older P07s it seems. And this really excited me. What I did notice is between mine and another in the shop, my trigger seemed noticeably lighter, which points to inconsistencies. Maybe I got lucky or maybe CZ is working more on the quality of the Omega trigger system.

With that said I got a few CGW parts already on the way. 15lb hammer spring, firing pin spring, and plunger spring.

CZ's are primarily service grade guns so it is not uncommon to find one with a really great trigger and one with a less than stellar trigger. Variations in allowable tolerances cause this but the good news is we have good aftermarket support now through CGW and CZ Custom so we can tune these guns up the way we want them.

If you want to experience a SMOOTH DAO trigger pull, checkout a Sig P250C...I recently acquired a new Compact one and the difference is night and day, and this is even after having our gunsmithing school work over my new PO-7. It's better but still nowhere close to the glassy-smooth stock Sig with about a 6 pound pull. It's almost ball bearing smooth...almost. (In fairness the School [Colorado School of Trades] did offer to install the CGW mod...for another $300+...I declined)

I think CZ should have two assembly lines. One 'service quality' line to sell to the nightly-news types that delight in firing them into the air during their macho weekly celebrations/protests and one 'serious' line that slowed their assembly line down 5 to 10 minutes to make a Sig-like product. I'm sure the factory is capable of it...if they truly cared.

Some are really good and some aren't. After many rounds things smooth themselves out.

If they cared to make as many defects and have as many returns as sig does you mean?
If sigs are your thing that's your thing. I've looked over most of them and I haven't found one yet that feels remotely as good in my hands as a CZ and I don't mind modding them to my particular preference.

I'll give you/CZ that...they do feel good in my hand too. I think it's basically a very good platform. It's just that with a 'little' more effort it could be a real force in the market place. Maybe the majority stock holders are CGW...

They already are a "real force" in the market place. They've been servicing accounts worldwide for many moons so I don't think they are losing anything to anybody. The standard CZ75 being one of the most recognised and used pistols in the world and it's still all steel unlike sigs,S&W's glocks and the like.

stopsign: You won't be disappointed. All the CGW stuff turns your CZ into something wonderful. I carry my Cajunized P-07 a lot, wouldn't have it any other way.

Oh man you should think about grabbing a new hammer while you're at it. Makes the SA pull too sweet.

My 07 Duty has the nicest stock trigger of any p series gun I've tried. I think it's luck of the draw. Haven't been impressed with a Sig since before I bought my first CZ. To each their own.

 David at CgW told me , he could take 10 brand new p07s and work them over, seven will turn out fantastic triggers, 2 will turn out pretty good, 1 not so good.
My po7 gen 2 after all the polishing and the springs I put in it can't get the DA Pull any lower than 9# 3 oz.
The single action on the other hand is 2# 8oz sweet.
But everything is really smooth, I guess I got the  runt of the litter when it comes to Da pull.

I have 2 SA/DA sigs, and actually prefer my stock P09 trigger to them. Not to say any of them is bad, but the P09 fits my hand, places my trigger finger best, has a different ( straighter) trigger that seems to work better for me than my sigs.

My first CZ is my DUTY P07 in .40 S&W.  All internals are stock from the factory (has an RMR cut into the slide and BUIS with a FDE cerakote on the slide after the milling for the RMR).

SA trigger pull is about 3&1/4 lbs.

DA trigger pull is about 8&1/2 lbs.

Never done anything to it but load it up and shoot it.  And the groups are great, too.

As was stated above.  Due to variances in the actual dimensions of the parts used to build a gun there will be some that just work better than others.  You can "fix" some of them by changing out parts and hand fitting some of them.

And you'll find, one person to the next, that what one person finds objectionable another won't even notice.
