FWIW, Just one work-around:
I have the same trigger finger reach problem with my 75 Shadow and a comp. back-up 75B.
If you look carefully at the thin aluminum grips, the only part that shortens your reach to the trigger is the very top of the grip on the strong hand side just above the frame opening.
Cut it off.
Sounds bad, but it cannot be seen if you cut it off just a 1/32"- above the frame opening. I cut mine off and carefully sanded the top edge with a small bevel to make it smooth. At that point, your trigger finger is against the frame. It works. No grip made can be thinner than this.
The grip has a small inset into the frame opening and is just as secure as it ever was.
If I could get my new computer to post a pic, you wouldn't know it's cut unless told ahead of time.
I also did this with some home made aluminum grips as well as the strong side of some LOK grips. ALL work perfectly with no movement or problems.
