Hello All.  First post and very happy to say my lovely wife's birthday present to me was over the moon!  Got me a spankin' new 75D pcr!  I am a lucky guy. Looking forward to getting it cleaned up and out to the range.

My PCR is my favorite CZ. I love the looks and the size with the classic CZ ergonomics. I shoot as accurately with my PCR up to 20 yards as I do with my SP-01.

Are you tempted to get it modified?

I know I am preaching to the choir here ...
Had time to strip it all down and give it a thorough cleaning this evening. Very impressed with the workmanship.  No tooling marks inside.  It was all smooth like I had expected it to be. My CZ 75B was the same way.  Smooth as glass and the finish work was worthy of writing home about it. For me too it is a natural pointer from the get go. I have a strange little drill I go though with any new gun. I close my eyes for a few seconds and point/aim the pistol with my eyes closed. I hold the position a few seconds and open my eyes to see how the sights line up and how close it is to the imagined aim point. This little beast was dead on every time with this drill. Very impressive even for a CZ. Now if I can just get to the range I have 500 rounds ready to shoot. Best wishes everyone.

Awesome gift!  Fantastic pistol.  My PCR shoots as well as my full-size 75Bs and is a natural point-and-shooter. I carry it most days.  The palm swell in the rubber grips are perfect.  If you end up wanting to carry concealed with it, might change the grips... only bc of the rubber grabbing at your cover garment. Plenty of options for this pistol..  Glad you got it cleaned-up and ready to go. Welcome to the club.  Enjoy that PCR.  8)

Not such a strange drill. I do this one myself. It's designed to find and maintain your natural point of aim. I believe i got it from the Blue Press mag a few years ago.

Happy Birthday and Congrats on having a wonderful wife!!
Luv my PCR!  Haven't done anything but add grips to it.  As a defensive pistol, don't think it needs any mods except grips, sights and lighter springs.
Here's mine w/ CZ Aluminum grips:  Seems to give the pistol a more solid feeling than the Lok G10 grips that i had on previously.

Well I haven't been to the range yet but some snap caps and I have been having a great time this evening. I am impressed by how smooth the trigger pull is.  I don't feel any grit or hesitation in either DA or SA. Holy Cow! Thanks to the CZ crew. They made a hit with this one!

Let us know how it shoots. I have an SP-01 Shadow, and a CZ 75B Polished Stainless. I really want a PCR Pro-Tek 1. Talked to CZ Custom said they are 3-4 months out. As well as my other 2 CZ's shoot, I am sure the Compact PCR will be sweet shooter also. I am telling my wife she can shoot it easier because its a Alloy Frame Compact. Trying to lessen the sticker shock. LOL

I certainly will let everyone know.  Life is conspiring against me right now.  Keeping me from the Range.  LOL. Between work and remodeling our house well, you know.  I am still doing all of my dry fire drills including balancing a penny on the barrel, aiming, and then squeezing DA. It is so smooth in the trigger that this is no problem.  Haven't lost that penny yet!   :)  Maybe this weekend.  Ever optimistic.
