New "Bump Fire System" coming for Scorpions?
« on: February 27, 2017, 02:33:35 PM »
Anyone else see these? Saw a thread on AKFiles and they seem to work well, are cheaper and better looking than the completestock replacement version, and are getting popular for AKs and ARs. Noticed they have a page up now for a "coming soon" CZ Scorpion version too: http://www.bairarms.com/products/cz-scorpion

Curious why he specifies that it is not approved for pistols.

Because it is a stock. And without a tax stamp, you have an illegal SBR.
The attachment in the video does not appear to be a stock...[emoji848]

If I remember correctly the original Slide Fire was for someone who came back from Iraq with part of his right hand missing and couldnt pull the trigger so it was an assist to help him pull the trigger so he could go hunting. That is how the slide fire got approved from ATF

Because the definition of a pistol states that it is designed to be fired using one hand. The bumpfire device requires the use of two hands which could classify the weapon as an AOW.

That was the Sig Brace.

I looked it up and it wasn't the slide fire that I was thinking of. The signed brace we as invented for this purpose but remember seeing this well before the signed brace was a thought it was many years before that and then BAM! Same time I bought my slide fire (I think)  there was a show about a company in Lousinana that customized guns made silencers  and full auto stuff(since got in trouble lost licence and think shut down) that customized a rifle for a returning Iraq Vet.

+1point for James

As for not for pistols .....Will not effect my I have a carbine awaiting SBR status that would love this

I bought one of these for the AR, and it is not a stock. It slips over the trigger guard, and behind the grip. You have to hold the stock away from your shoulder to use it. It is kind of crude, and mine will need some tweaking to work properly.  If one comes out for the Scorpion, I am going to pass on it.
