My vote is for the Shadow 2 especially if it is the one with the nitride slide and blue aluminum grips.

It's the one with the black grips.  I haven't seen any of the blue grip ones locally. Those are a few more bucks too

Shadow 2. You'll need a few parts though. Schmeky has been peeling his apart and it is sounding good. Really high quality new machining is used. Then you get the new grip/frame style.

You know I just handled this one

It didn't blow me away like "I have to have this now"

Bit of creep in the SA.  The Shadow Tac 2 felt a bit better trigger wise to me granted it is 100 more and from the Custom Shop

I'm not sure if the trigger felt all that much better than my SP-01 Tactical

It sure is nice looking though

So the grip wasn't noticeably improved when you fondled it? Yeah, sounds like it'll need a competition or race hammer and some polishing.

I guess the best description would be that it is different.  It felt great and it is a hefty boy at almost 47 oz unloaded

But I'm just not sure at least in my opinion it is worth twice the price of my SP-01.  I could probably spend 600 to 700 at either CGW or the Custom Shop and really bring it up to speed

That being said I haven't ruled out getting one....just yesterday wasn't the day.  Today may be different lol

You're right on.  The S2 trigger has a lot of pre-travel and there's a lot of creep in SA mode.  Although, the trigger pull weight is very good, IMO.  When it comes to the action, there is definitely no comparison to the custom shop versions - say, as compared to the Shadow 1 or Target II from CZC.  Frankly, I'm kind of disappointed based on all the hype and inflated price.  With that said, I bought one anyway and will probably have to send it out.

Seems like the better maching/QC has driven up the cost. At least thats what I gathered from CGW's assessment:

I wanted one before they were available but got the Accu Shadow and think the 2 would be a letdown now until there are upgrades ready to install so I'll hold off and wait for everything to get worked out before looking again. I'm very happy with the Accu Shadow.

I don't believe this is the case. I just picked mine up 3 hours ago. Mine is no tighter, or even better machined than my standard SP01. I'm OCD as hell and if there were better machining I'd notice it. The inside of the frame is is finished nicer, but I wouldn't say its machined any better. In fact the trigger guard has a slight hump on one side that's not on the other. In my opinion they're not worth $13-1400. I'll be selling mine before I shoot it.

That stinks. I've been on the fence after reading some of the reviews. But I've wanted one for so long that I'm going to buy one anyway and see how I like it. Worst case I sell it and get my money back.

It definitely seems that the price is on the high side for what you're getting.

I'd imagine it won't last long if you throw it in the classifieds  ;)

Its going in the classifieds as soon as I hit 25 posts! LOL. It's sad though... I've long been a CZ admirer. The first handgun I shot was my brother's 75 when I was 10. When I sell this I'll have zero CZs. I sold my SP01 before buying this.  :-\
