So, is the "Czech Mate CZC Cmore RTS Scope Mount" from CZ Custom unsuitable for the CZ TS Orange? The mounting bracket seems to have the correct side profile as the space for the thumb rest, and there is a third screw hole under it. (I finally removed it to see, Duh!) But without actually measuring it, I really don't know if I'm barking up the wrong tree. Is there anyone from CZ on this forum to ask a technical question like that? I understand that it's designed for a specific C-More red dot, but is it close enough, for instance, to be modified to fit a Burris? I have access to a lathe and mill so I have the means and skill to modify it if I have to. The key is still if it's the correct side profile and will clear the top of the slide. Here's what things look like...

Sorry about the size of the pictures. I'll get'm right after I play around with them for a while

The link I posted is for their multi optic mount that is predrilled for several red dots including the Burris.

The real question is if the mount will clear the taller front slide of the TSO.

Cheers,
Toby

Get someone to fabricate a mount that replicates the CM mount but is "taller" so it clears the TSO slide. Then just stick the stock thumb rest on the outside using longer screws.

Market is pretty small for someone that wants to add a frame mounted optic to the TSO and run 40 major in Open.  Unfortunately.

I'd like to try it...but still need someone to pony up the $90 and buy the CZC frame mounted optic parts to see if it actually clears.

Or if the CZC shop guys have some spare time they probably have a TSO (Angus' personal collection?) and the parts on hand...ya know, in between creating awesomeness and shipping Shadow 2's out.

The CZ custom mount works fine. I have one on my own TS Orange. THe base is a hair width above the slide, but it cycles fine. One does have to remove the mount, however, to remove the slide, CZ customer service said that shouldn't be an issue re:longevity of the threads.

I use a trijicon rmr.  If I ever get my act together I'll post a photo

Well well, guess I'll have to buy the CZC mount and run the TSO in open now!

Midatlantic, when I talked with the CZ Custom rep, he mentioned using that mount would result in the red dot plate being somewhat angled off center due to the TSO rib.  Is that not an issue?

Also, rep mentioned using the slide Racker multi optic sight plate (replacing the rear sight) was an option for the TSO.  Any thoughts?

I dont find it off center. if so, I havent noticed. It is quite accurate. Will take another look.

I actually bought a sight base to fit the rear sight dove tail, to give myself options, but havent used it yet. Not a slide racker. I got it from CZ custom I think. Whats the slide racker?

Hey Midatlantic, the slide Racker looks just like the sight base...with two dog ears to grip the slide and rack backwards. Would attach a photo but just figuring out how to drive.....I ordered a Vortex Venom red dot to use after talking with Vortex to ensure no shock issues with mounting on the slide vs frame. I really want to keep the gas pedal and desperately need the red dot since I am a graybeard and iron sights are a struggle at 25 yards.

Midatlantic, I drifted the slide racker into the rear sight position and mounted my new Venom 3 MOA red dot.  Still breaking in TSO, but usually scoring about half my shots in the 10 ring at 25 yards, slow fire. A great improvement for me....now motivated to push harder and better those scores.  Stay Safe!

I just saw this thread and hope this will help:

Here's a pic of the Czechmate and the TSO, the TSO has that Czechmate multi-dot mount from CZC as posted by Penrose.  The multi-dot mount fits right on the TSO frame and here I show it with the thumbrest mounted ontop of the dot mount.  I tried taking off the dot mount from the Czechmate but I had put red loctite on the mounting screws so didn't bother.  I've installed the multi-dot mount from CZC on the Czechmate before and it fits snuggly just like the one that came with the gun.

Here on opposite side to show clearance.  The Czechmate dot mount on the Czechmate has quite a bit of clearance while the one from CZC on TSO looks like it is touching but I confirm it is not touching and there is an small clearance and cycles fine as posted by midatlantic44.

Also that CZC mount is off-centered to the right as mentioned by COBE.

Is there enough clearance there for a c-more sight? This the optic I'd like to run. Been using that sight for a long time.

In looking at the parts list of the CzechMate, there is a side mount that is made for the C-More because the parts list also shows a C-More optic.

You may want to consider an Accu-Shadow with an accessory rail instead of the Tac Sport Orange.  You'll have an easier time mounting a dot and I believe the Accu-Shadow is inherently more accurate as well.

I bit the bullet and decided to replace the rear sight with the CZ Custom racker/multi optic mount for a tactical sport. (SKU: 10549) Drifting the rear sight out was much easier than I thought it would be because some CZ rear sights are a mother to drift out. Drifting the new one on was also much nicer than I thought. Thanks to CZ Custom for a nice-fitting- product. In any case, the racker is on and the sight is mounted. I'm using a Burris FastFire 3 that I already have, as a test optic. I'll get back with a report and some pictures after I have a chance to go to the range.
