Tailhook pre-sale?

The preorder is it for the black pieces below or just the piece that clamps on to the cylindrical stock adapter?

Pre order is for the hook part that clamps onto a buffer tube or onto the factory stock adapter that is to come out later.

Right now I have a shockwave-KAK buffer tube on my scorpion.  So with the mod1 I could take off the shockwave blade and attach the mod 1 tailhook to the existing KAK-brand buffer tube?

If that is the case, then I would definitely pre-order right now.

I do not know the diameter of the Kak tube. It would have to fall between 1.17-1.2" to be compatible.

It would just be the actual aluminum Tailhook brace, not the scorpion adapter. The same Tailhook Mod 1 brace is what fits both the Ar pistol buffer tube and the Scorpion adapter. As well as all the other adapters we are designing.

I don't think the poll questions are right.

I predict you will sell through the first batch without meeting everyone's need, so presumably the pre-order people have a shot at getting one from the first batch, while the people who wait till it is released will likely have to wait for the second batch.

I think the majority of scorpion owners that like this brace want to use it on the origional scorion "folding member".

Since you have to buy a cz stock kit to do so, there is lots of muddy water there as far as constructive intent and if the atf considers the cz "folding member" an actual stock.

I will wait for approval on the adapter.

Ah that's a great idea! I didn't even think of that...so buy the regular scorpion stock and change out the "stock" part and add the brace to it?

I didn't realize the "Stock" part could be removed--I've actually never seen one in person because all I have is the pistol.

We are working to offer a complete kit that would not include the butt stock portion so there would not be that worry. I realize that some people have already bought a stock to convert. So long as they aren't in possession of the butt, they do not have intent. Either toss it, sell it or give it to somebody at a different address.

The ATF already defined the rearward most portion with the butt pad the stock when they identified the 922 parts. The folding member is not the stock. Of course people are free to come to their own conclusions. We presented the facts.

Again I wish I could afford one - that with a folding accessory would be the bees knees. I like my Thordsens, but is has some serious limitation.

I think this means we're gonna see a whole lot of the telescoping portions of the buttstock being sold on ebay

a CZ stock

and it would probably just be better to wait for the package deal from GHW when everything is available?  do I have that right?

That is correct. Complete packages won't be ready till summer though. Adapters potentially sooner for those who have a stock they want to convert.

that's fine, I don't even have my CZ yet.   Waiting for the 2017's so maybe they'll be available around the same time.
