1st CZ! 1st problem!

Just got my first CZ today.... Aaaand the front sight post doesn't glow. Also I have two small chips in the finish down to bare metal... They are very small, but they are there. Anyone else have issues like this right out of the box?

What model did you pickup today? CZ has great customer support and if it's a new gun they can certainly assist you. Can you post up some pictures of the issues?

Sp01 tactical in urban grey. As far as photos... Well, you can see the sight issue but the finish issue is a bit hard to see.

When I bought my SP-01, I was so excited that I barely inspected it (also because they only had one left and another guy wanted it). But after I brought it home, I realized there was a chip in the trigger finish. It's also small and doesn't affect performance. And the rest of the gun was flawless. Not ideal but eh what can ya do.

Mine (urban gray) is a P01.  I'd had it maybe 6 months when I noticed the front sight glow was gone.  It worked Sunday, Tuesday or Wednesday I noticed it was "out".  I e-mailed CZ USA, got a reply later that day, got the return authorization stuff in an e-mail the next day and shipped the stripped slide (took it off the frame and removed the barrel and recoil spring/guide) to them.  FEDEX lost/messed up that label and that took it about 3 extra days to get back to CZ USA. 

CZ USA fixed it and shipped it back to me about 3 days after that.  No issues with it since. 

No idea about the finish.  I'm one of those guys that dings it if I carry/use it, so mine are going to get marks in the finish anyway.

I'd definitely want something done about the front sight. The finish seems really minor.

I understand about minor blemishes in the finish.... If I put them there.. And if that's all it was I may have just dealt with it... Even though, I didn't pay for a Blemished gun. It's like buying a nice watch and pulling it out of the leather box to find a nick in the crystal. Anyway.... Cz has the pistol... Hopefully they take care of all the issues the right way.

Got an email from cz today. They just replaced the whole pistol. Awesome customer service! They will be getting future business from me.

Yeah, my first CZ has about a 3/4" light scratch right on the side of the front of the frame. I also wan't too pleased with the trigger in double or single action. About$300 in Cerakote and CGW parts and it's as prefect as I could expect now.


I was disappointed but not enough to go though the hassle of sending it back. I eventually just had the frame stripped and Cerakoted. It looks great now.

Yup. I bought a CZ75 compact that had 3 chips at the muzzle end of the slide and barrel. CZ replaced the whole gun for free which made me plenty satisfied.
