Does anyone know the height of the Truglo TFX front sight? Will it work with the Dawson black rear? Will POI be affected?  As best I can tell, the Dawson front is .13 tall for front and .25 tall for rear.  This combo seems to be the best.  Am I missing something?

I like a wide notch rear and a gold bead front, but then I don't need sights to hit a target at SD range and mostly practice point shooting anyway.

For the record, the glow of night sights become visible long before total darkness. They are a useful upgrade.

I vote for night sights on all carry weapons. Depends a lot on your life style.  Should you be out during the bulk of night time hours maybe you would want to consider a flashlight/laser set up of some kind.  If one goes out mostly at dusk and then home during night hours night sights are the ideal IMHO.  If one never goes out except in daylight hours, save your money and use stock sights.  For me it all boils down to individual preference based upon life style. Home guns?  That's a whole 'nother kettle of fish.
If you find yourself in a fair gunfight, your tactics stink!
