Cabela's canceling all P10C pre orders
« on: April 14, 2017, 12:51:11 AM »
I'm so PO'd I could spit. I had a pre order all locked in for a FDE P10C.
I went on line to check my status and found my order cancelled. No notification, nada. I called Cabela's and was told the computer automatically cancels orders after a specified time but normally an email is sent to the customer. This didn't happen in this case because the manufacturer told Cabela's the delivery date is now out past June and Cabela's computer system won't allow the orders to be reinstated that far out., so there was no option to extend. WTF!!!!
I'm DONE with Cabela's and CZ. December, January, February, late April now June, what a bunch of liars. It's really too bad. A company with good customer service will be seeing my next purchase.

Probably a blessing.  Be thankful you now have money for a real hammer fired metal gun!

Yup. I'll just bet I'm the only person to pre order from Cabela's so my single story won't faze anyone. Mediocrity is infesting the world and by cracky and sounds like that's acceptable. Bye.

Well, bye.
As for this June thing, I posted several times that I have spoken to CZ execs who all say end of April, still. Cabelas, no idea, never set foot in the place, sorry. Bass Pro is pretty neat, never been to Cabelas. BTW, compare the roll out to SIG with the MPX, or KelTec with ANY firearm, two well thought of companies, and CZ still looks faster. ;)

CZ is severely dragging ass and you're "done with Cabela's". I don't blame Cabela's at all.

Or, the Beretta APX is now available.

APX is being discussed in general Firearms right now, I believe. I am going to see what the P-10C has to offer when it come in, in a few weeks.

I've never seen such impatience and blatant cry babying over the roll out of this new pistol. I've brought it up before and it bears repeating. When S&W announced the M&P series it' was a solid year before they finally hit the shelves and then they had a recall in short order on all those guns.
Colt is supposed to bring back the Cobra yet no one has seen one yet and it's been longer since they announced the new pistol than the P10C announcement. Part of this is marketing to generate interest and part of it is the delays a company can run into when introducing a new product.
CZ is marketing this pistol as a direct shot across the bow of Glock and I'm sure they want these guns reliable from day one. Maybe they had some issues to iron out before the felt comfortable moving these guns out.
Would anyone really like to buy yet another gun that has to go back to home base right out of the gate or would y'all like to go shoot that new gun when you finally get it and enjoy a fine reliable piece?
In the mean time go get a big box of PUFFS and wipe yer noses!

I don't see any reason to defend or justify this on the part of CZ. Just as with the other companies mentioned, they screwed up. It happens. I'm sure there is more than a little hand wringing going on at the home office. The press roll out may have been earlier than planned because they had to get in front of leaks or rumors, who knows? That said, I'd much rather wait for a quality pistol than have them rush it to market and have to recall it. The reason I buy CZ products is because they are the absolute best for the money. No company or product is perfect, but CZ is as close as it gets for me. I've got a safe full of CZ's to keep me occupied until they're satisfied enough to ship the next one.

I quit ordering from Cabela's awhile back.

Got a notice that .22 ammo was on sale but you had to order over $100 to get free shipping.  I ordered (on line) over $100 of it.  Meanwhile I passed up some on a store shelf because I had 4 bricks on order (one for me, one each for my sons and one for my nephew).  A few days later Cabela's sent me an e-mail telling me my order had been cancelled because I ordered more than the allowed limit (no mention of limit in their e-mail or their on line ad) and now the ammo was out of stock.

No one needs that kind of (poor) communication/service.  If I'd ordered more than the limit allowed it should have popped up when I tried to order it or pay for it with the credit card.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

We have a Cabela's near me and it is my favorite store. If I buy something online, I have it shipped to the store for free. Their prices are high, but they have good sales if you pay attention. That said, I'll probably never buy a new gun from them.

I've never dealt with Cabelas nor will I be likely to. The Ammunition Store.com is 20 minutes from me if they have a deal on ammo and I care to buy factory rounds I can go pick it up. I know many like to buy guns online but I will never do so from Cabelas or anyone for that matter. I insist on handling and inspecting things like that before any money changes hands.

Wasn't a significant shipment of these already delivered to Argentina or some place months ago?  Maybe the US is down the list until other nation's populace wring out the bugs.  QC
