Has anybody have the same "issue" with that? I have it after I changed the striker spring to 4lb and smoothing the striker parts ala earlan357.

With the normal striker spring, the trigger safety depresses far enough to clear the frame opening before the actual trigger moves back.  With a light enough striker spring, the trigger starts to move before the "dingus" is fully depressed, causing it to catch on the opening.  Some people remove a little material from the back of the trigger safety.  Another option would be to use a lighter spring for the trigger safety, although altering safety parts gives many people the willies.  I'm personally using a 5# striker spring and waiting for Apex, CGW, or CZ Custom to come out with a flatter trigger.

Thank you for your response and warning about the trigger safety parts. Maybe this is one reason Joe L glue it because he uses 4lb spring. I will try 4.5 and 5 later. :)

Even after almost 500 rounds, the trigger takeup was still very gritty and rough.

i expected much better from CZ.

I just polished all the trigger components as per the above video.

It greatly improved the take up.  Much smoother now.

However, still has a loud SQUEEK on take up.  See my video below.  Seems to be coming from the trigger area.  Obviously something is rubbing; which adds to the roughness and pull weight.  As an experiment, I put a little bit of moly on the trigger pin - but that didn't change the squeak.  Neither did a bit of lube on the outside of the trigger bar, as Schmecky recommends for my P-07.

Could be the sides of the plastic trigger rubbing against the poly frame?  Anybody experienced this and have a cure?

I also noticed the squeak with the stock striker spring.  It went away when I put in a 5# Glock striker spring.  Also reduced my pull weight by 7 oz to 5lbs.

Love your videos!

I think that will be the next task though mine has a very crisp break and reset and it's very linear.

Thank you!

I heard a faint squeak during take up. With an unloaded gun I placed in against my ear and manipulated the trigger during take up. What I heard was spring noises. Knowing what it is, it no longer bothers me and it will eventually go away.

By striker safety block do you mean the little spring loaded lever in the slide that interacts with the striker? I lubed that and noticed no difference. If anyone has anything specific to polish please let me know.

It's not the firing pin safety. Take the slide off of your pistol and manipulate the trigger back and forth while looking down into the gun. Take note of the relationship between the trigger safety "dingus" and the round part of the silver magazine inside the pistol. It slightly rubs there. I have slight wear marks on the rounded part of the magazine release and corresponding marks on the square part of the trigger safety "dingus" as it passes/ goes into the frame. I'm at work and cant get to my weapon at the moment.

It's all in the polishing video:
Disassembly: 3:46
Re-assembly: 16:32

I like the 5# spring because it gave me a 5lb 3oz trigger pull.  As the trigger weight gets lighter, so does the reset.  For me, 5# gives a good balance.  I think Joe L has tried a 4.5# spring with no problems yet.  4# could result in light strikes but I haven't tried.

I dropped a 5# in mine today, need to spend more time with it for sure...tossing out doubles like it's cool.

Anyone have a video link for the disassembly for the P-07?

I'm sure I can get it apart but it's the reassembly that concerns me.
