Which finish for P-120?
« on: May 23, 2017, 04:33:07 PM »
I will be purchasing a P-120 in the future. Cant decide between the chrome or black version. Anyone have anything to say about either finish?  I have a CZ and enjoy the black look yet wondered if I should go chrome for this one just because I can.

I also found a local store with a ton of Tristar and Sarsilmaz stuff. It was great to see the guns in front of me compared to my ipad.  Haha.

Let me know your opinions.  Thanks.

I had the T-120 in black and loved it. Long story short, I had to but another and decided to get the titanium finish and was under impressed.   I from the pictures on the TriStar website, I thought that the titanium looked better than chrome. For that reason I would vote for black.

I see what you mean. When I seen the chrome in person it looked not bad. But it definitely doesn't look like s brushed steel type of look.

I picked up a P120 a few months back in the Titanium? finish I believe. It's not chrome for sure and a cerakote finish I imagine but has held up really good thus far. Can't speak for or against the black, I chose the color I did for no reason really other than all my other pistols are black.
I would imagine any of the colors are just as durable and the beauty of each is in the eye of the beholder. Enjoy, it's a fine pistol and I don't regret buying it over an SP01 ever.

I totally agree with @The77boudreau beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have no issue with the finish durability of my previous TriStar, nor my current TriStar. But for me TriStar titanium cerakote leaves something to be desired. But on the other hand, my brother really likes that finish.

I've always been a fan of basic Black!  :)  Had it been in any other color, I would not have bought my TriStar T-120.

Tristar/Canik T120. 9mm Alloy Frame Cz Clone. Shown here with Hogue Cz75 wrap around finger groove grips

And yes, I like little Black Guns!  I've owned a few Stainless Steel Pistols and plan on putting Black Cerakote on the one I do have left.
I tolerate the Silver Grey Wonder Finish on my 2004 .45 Witness, only because it shoots so well.

Yes the black finish looks nice however I think the cream with black highlights is very striking and makes an elegant looking pistol.
