Sellier and Bellot ammo
« on: May 26, 2017, 03:51:26 PM »
I was looking online for a good deal on 9mm ammo and I came across Sellier and Bollet for $12.99 a box.  I wanted 124 gr and this was 115 gr.  I have read a few places this ammo is hotter than other brands...almost on par with NATO ammo and then I remember reading in the data chart on the test firing of the 5 shots for my PO7....Sellier and Bellot ammo was used.  I know it is Czech made ammo, so this makes sense it is used for test firing a CZ  Anyone use this on a daily basis?

I use it all the time in my sp-01tactical. Never had a single issue. Sportsman guide has it all the time for under$200 free shipping for 1000 rnds. Just remember to put in the code.

Before I started reloading recently, I was using S&B 115 and 124gr FMJ almost exclusively. Very accurate, clean, reliable and inexpensive when often on sale. I have shot many cases and still have a few cases stored now. All my CZs love it.

Love S&B and Geco.  But should be able to get both for around $10 a box at SG Ammo or TargetSports.  Have a case of Geco on the way now for $210 including shipping.

Oddly enough try Buds...on a recurring basis they ship both S&B and Geco for free making the price per round about $0.20-0.21
But yeah...SG when they have it

Cabela's house brand Herters is also made by Seller & Bellot.

When sorting cases I put the S&B and Hrtrs in the same bucket.

I just ordered 4 boxes of S&B 124 gr from Buds @ $10.48 each.  I have 5 boxes of Freedommunnitions 135 gr in route to me.   Also  on BUD's site, I noticed 115 gr Legend brand for $8.99 each.  Never used it. The PO7 seems to be more accurate using 124 or 135 gr.  My SD9VE seems to be more accurate with 115 gr, as was the C100.  Probably just something I am doing differently in the way I hold each gun.

Good to know, will chck again next time I am there.
But to be more specific I have only ever looked at the fine print on boxes of Brass cased 124 & 115gr of the Herter's "Select Grade".

Yeah, I've been using the S&B 124 'European Government Contract' SB9B that SGAmmo has on sale for $182.95 + $16 shipping.  That's 19.9 cents/round all in.
Made by Ruag it's really a deal. I'm on my 3rd case already.

Going through it like my boxes of 22LR CCI 'Choot-Em's'   8)

CCI makes the aluminum case pistol ammo for Cabela's, but I've never seen CCI-made brass case ammo under the Cabela's "Herters" product line.
