P07 duty (about 2012/2013 era
« on: June 03, 2017, 07:22:12 PM »
Was there  a 2012 era P07 that came only with a safety but no de-cocker in the box?

I just bought a very lightly used P07 duty (about 20 rounds through it) with original box, all paper work including original bill of sale, unused cleaning rods, etc.

The original owner is/was very meticulous about his guns & included equipment.

He claims he never switched out the de-cocker for the safety & doesn't think there was de-cocker in the box when he bough the gun back in 2013.

No big deal, I am more curious than anything.

Thanks_

Yes - there was a model intended for Canadian sale that has a slightly extended barrel to meet the 4.2" minimum. It had manual safety parts (only) and was equipped with TruDot tritium sights. I have one and bought the decocker part set from CZ-USA.

Unfortunately my P07 has neither the extended barrel or night sights.

Mine came with a pistol bayonet but no decocker. I haven't gotten one because I like the single action feel.

That just shows that models were shipped with only one configuration.

The store I did a demo at yesterday has a P-09 with only the safety lever - no decocker parts in the box - and a part number on the label indicating MS only.

The only rule with CZ model configurations is that really aren't any rules.

What did the " part number on the label indicating MS only" look like?

I have the box with  all intact labels.

I had one of these, in fact I sold it to eastman... I bought the gun brand new in 2013 (I think 2013 manufacture).  My wife qualified for MI CPL with it actually, her instructor was shocked at how good she was with it for barely having shot a gun but once or twice before.  I can only take partial credit for teaching her a bit, the gun had a lot to do with it lol.

I think it was just an "MS" mixed in to the part number for a P-09 9mm and "Manual safety" on the line below where convertible pistols say "manual safety, decocker". Not 100% certain.

yep, great pistol with a really sweet trigger. I used it as part of the demo kit until March (when I bought a non-Duty P-07 to take over the demo role).
