Differences in barrel trunions?
« on: June 11, 2017, 08:37:21 PM »
I seem to recall that there were some different barrel trunions in the scorpions.

Seems like the feedramp or something around the face of the barrel was different.  I want to say that someone was calling the differences gen 1 and gen 2, but I can't find the topic with the photos now.

Can someone point me toward the right link, or share the photo?

TIA.

I purchased a gen2 barrel / trunion combo and I own the slightly narrower gen1 lower.  I simply filed the inside of the lower where the pin passes through.  Put about 500 rounds through it since with zero issues.  I filed each side equally with a hand file.  It wasn't fun nor do I recommend it considering the low cost of a gen2 lower from czusa.

Yes, the gen 1 has a narrower feed ramp than gen 2.
