Found a CZ 85 COMBAT Locally- Update: got it
« on: June 13, 2017, 12:10:32 AM »
I just found one a couple hours ago locally through Facebook. Claims about 2-3K rnds down it, is an excellent condition if not mint.
Update: got it

Well, I don't think they list them (CZ that is) in their on line catalog anymore.  If so they aren't being made and will probably just decrease in availability and increase in price over the years.

I don't think you could buy a new one for $500 (I've never even seen one for sale at all the gun shows I go to every year).

I really like the 85's (for some reason) and if I found one that I thought was worth $500 I'd probably buy it (even though I don't need it).

If you think the condition and price is good and you want it, go for it.

This reminds me, I've been wanting to order an extra slide release for mine, as a spare, just in case that part becomes scarce some day.

Good luck with it.  If you do get it, come back to this thread with some pictures.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I may try and trade my steel railed compact for it. I'll post pics later if I get it

Nice looking pistol.

I'm not sure, but I think the ones with the adjustable rear sight are less common than the other version.

It doesn't have a firing pin block either, does it?

All 85 Combat models had an adjustable rear sight. The regular 85 did not. The early guns were not stamped Combat, and had a different sight from the LPA style that was most recently used.

No 85 Combat has a FPB.
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

Just a note that there is no FPI "PIN" showing in the slide =  No FP safety.
