New Rami BD
« on: June 13, 2017, 10:30:54 PM »
My round count on my new Rami just passed 1500 with no failures of and kind. Changed outer recoil spring at 900 rounds and one night sight died at about 1000 rounds. Sent the slide back to CZ and it was returned repaired in 6 days.
The more I shoot it the better the trigger gets double action is now 7 1/2 lbs. and single is 3 1/4 lbs.
This little gun has just replaced my sig P938 for EDC.

Very nice!

It's great to be able to find a small gun that is that enjoyable to shoot.

Congrats!

How does the RAMI compare with the 938 size wise/weight,etc?  I held a 938 at my LGS and thought it was too small for me.

The Rami BD is about the size of a Glock 26. I moved to the Rami because I like the DA/SA trigger over the Sig's single action only. The added weight also makes for much faster follow up shots. Both guns are keepers the Rami for EDC and the Sig for pocket carry in hot weather.

The RAMI is bigger and heavier than the P938. The RAMI is 0.6" longer, 0.8" taller, 0.2" wider, and 9.2 oz heavier than the Sig. A P938 is my pocket summer carry and the RAMI is my winter carry. I can pocket carry the RAMI (in a holster) in a leather outer coat. Should the need arise I also have IWB holsters for both pistols.

I'm glad to hear you're having no problems with your RAMI!  I just got mine on Thursday and shot it today, only 200 rounds though.  I did have a failure to go into battery on the first round, but I'm pretty sure it was my fault.  The other 199 rounds were flawless.  I purchased a CGW Ultra Lite kit, but after shooting the gun stock I wasn't sure if I wanted to install it since the gun was such a pleasure to shoot.  I ended up doing so and I'm happy I did.

I did run into a problem when I installed the kit.  When I removed the grips on my RAMI, the screw "sleeves" (I don't know what the correct name is) came out with the screws!  Well, three of them did.  I was able to reassemble the pistol and it functions fine.  I just don't know how to get the screws out of those sleeves.  If someone could help me, please message me.  Thanks!!  Nevermind, found a fix for the screws.

Again, congrats on your pistol!

Here's mine, switched the grips, CGW Ultra Lite kit, and polished the barrel.

On removing the bushings, wrap electrical tape around the threads. That way you can hold the bushing with a pair of pliers without screwing up the threads. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the screw.
When you put the bushings back in the frame, careful not to go too deep. The mag will drag if the bushings are too deep.
If guns are outlawed.........
 Only outlaws will have guns.

Thanks bud!  Last night I started another way of removing the screws.  I saw a post about using blue loctite for the bushings and then removing the screws.  If it doesn't work I'll try your method.

THANKS!!  I was torn between getting those and a set of black grips.  I'm happy with my decision.

Love my RAMI. I am not close to 1,500 rounds but at least in the Mid 100's I polished the triggerhousing and put a Cajun Gun Works trigger spring in it. Other than that...it shoots flawlessly. Great to see your RAMI is your ned EDC
